August 22 · Clare CordierThe barre3 studio in West Seattle is truly a gem. From the moment you walk in, the instructors make you feel completely welcome and supported, creating an inclusive and positive environment for everyone. The classes are no joke—they’re challenging in the best way, pushing you to build strength, endurance, and balance—but they’re also incredibly energizing. I always leave feeling empowered, refreshed, and proud of what my body can do. The space is clean, calming, and thoughtfully designed, and the sense of community makes every visit something to look forward to. July 07 · Samara FellowsI live next door to Barre 3, and I can't do yoga, due to an incredibly painful spinal cord injury, but I wish I could. Every day I walk dogs past Barre 3, and I am amazed at the transformations I see. Every lady strides into Barre 3 with her " thinking face" on, closed off, unsmiling, probably thinking about what she has to do today, or what happened yesterday, worrying about children, work, finances, family issues...her back is straight and her arms stiff, sure signs of stress. "Having it all" means having to DO it all. When class lets out, and the ladies drift out the door, they have dropped ten years from their faces and posture. The light beneath their skin has been turned back on, and they are glowing and flushed with the stimulation of exercise. They are smiling, and have a sense of contentment, chatting with other yoga ladies, laughing, joking. The lines of their bodies have softened, and their movements are graceful and fluid. All worry is gone from their faces.I never knew that yoga could release endorphins, and create a sense of well-being.I am grateful to be able to see these transformations every day. It warms my heart, and makes me happy for these women.
July 07 · Karie P. SchneiderI’ve been really enjoying Barre3 as a way to stay active and build strength during the off-season for skiing. The classes are low-impact but still give a great full-body workout, especially for legs, glutes, and core — all the areas that help with skiing. I like how Barre3 combines strength, cardio, and stretching in a mindful way, so it’s not just a workout but also feels good for overall wellness. The instructors are encouraging, and the studio has a positive, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking to cross-train for skiing or just build balanced strength.
