★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about your goals and makes training a great experience, I can’t recommend Raymond enough! He’s patient, encouraging, and always knows how to challenge me in the best way. He doesn’t just train you, he teaches you which I’ve always appreciated! I’ve seen incredible progress since starting. Enjoy working out here, the owner is nice, and I always feel welcomed.
July 17 · isa solPOWERLIFTING FRIENDLY!!Would recommend to anyone in the powerlifting/bodybuilding scene, gym equipment is always available, has that basement grunge vibe. Power bars, fatpad rouge bench, rouge bumper calibrated plates, only. 2 racks but they're usually available. Owners are chill, only complaints are theres no water bottle refill station so you gotta carry enough for the whole workout.
February 23 · Sam PopalIf you’re thinking about personal training, go with Raymond. He totally changed the way I see weightlifting. I always felt supported, never judged, and he kept me driven the whole time. Seriously, can’t recommend him enough!
April 18 · Matthew MarinIn all honesty!! I learn so much coming to this gym. At first I was just scrawny twig. Now I gain muscle. It’s really all thanks to this trainer named Raymond. He was a lot of help.
May 17 · Vladimir EstimableI'm so grateful there are still gyms like this in the city. Barbell Fitness is reasonably priced, well equipped, and no nonsense.Lifting never feels too crowded. There's two power cages, a deadlift mat, a few benches (even one with a fat pad!), and plenty of barbells. There's more than enough cardio equipment, accessory work machines, and dumbbells. There's good airflow from large fans but you'll definitely leave sweaty, which anyone should expect if they're working out.One suggestion to improve the experience I'd have is to have somewhere for patrons to write down suggestions for the music playlist. As a caveat, I generally avoid the locker rooms - they're decrepit and need to be ripped out and redone. But in this new era of extended working from home it's not that big a deal.
