When considering a gymnastics facility for your child in the New Jersey area, Atlantic Coast Gymnastics in Williamstown is worth choosing for its dedicated focus, community reputation, and comprehensive programs. The glowing reviews about the staff's helpfulness and the cleanliness of the facility are strong indicators of a positive and professional environment. A parent's peace of mind is paramount, and knowing that the staff is both knowledgeable and supportive is a significant factor. The variety of services, from basic tumbling to competitive training, means that a child can start their journey at a young age and continue to grow with the academy, eliminating the need to search for a new facility as their skills develop.
However, it is important for prospective members to be aware of some concerns raised in a review, which can help set realistic expectations. The issues with class timing and the reported behavior of some staff members are critical points to consider. For parents of toddlers, in particular, the review about late class starts and the long duration of administrative tasks is a valid concern, as a child’s attention span is short. It is advisable to inquire about the structure of the classes and the coach-to-student ratio before committing. The report of coaches screaming at older children is also a serious matter and something that would warrant further discussion with the management to ensure coaching methods align with your family's values. It’s always best to visit the facility and observe a class if possible to get a firsthand feel for the environment.
Despite these potential issues, the positive feedback about the fun and engaging nature of the programs, particularly for events like birthday parties, suggests that the facility still provides a valuable service to the community. The fact that the gym is a well-established place with a clear focus on children's gymnastics makes it a go-to for many. The choice ultimately depends on what you are looking for, but for many in the Williamstown area seeking a place for their children to learn gymnastics and tumbling, Atlantic Coast Gymnastics offers a solid and comprehensive option.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you are not a gymnast the smell when you walk in is odd...It's an old building, but very clean. Staff is amazing. They're very helpful and informative.Went for a birthday party and my kid had a blast.
June 09 · Jennifer -Had my 2 year old in an 8 week toddler/parent class. The class was only 30 minutes long. The class right prior consistently got out late (even up to 10 minutes late!), leaving not much time for the tots. Stretching and roll call literally took 15 minutes which is entirely too long for a toddlers attention span. It was quite amazing how long roll call took when it was the same 3 children each week. The most displeasing part of the class is the assistant coach (colorful hair) would roll her eyes at my 2 year old daughter. The head coach would even make remarks that I know were geared towards my child. If you calculate the class starting late, 15 minutes of stretching.. there was no time left for the fun stuff, leaving one unsatisfied toddler and mama.I could even hear older childrens coaches screaming at them like they were failures. It was painful to watch.
September 09 · brianna pillingWe love ACG! Our daughter has been there for several years now and it has been an extremely positive experience. We love watching her grow stronger and more confident everyday and have been so happy with all her coaches from preschool rec to level 4.
December 30 · April GrantMy daughter started out doing mom/tot classes in early 2020 when she was only 2yo and almost 4 years later, she’s now on level 2 comp team. She loves it! The staffs truly care about their gymnasts. My daughter loves training here. She loves her coaches too. The gym recently finished a ton of renovations. They do a great job at keeping the place generally clean. Even their restrooms are clean which is important to me. Overall, I highly recommend ACG. Plus, it’s a spacious gym with plenty of equipments.
November 08 · Maria GilmanWe love Atlantic Coast. We’ve had great experience with the coaches (my daughter loves Emily!) and all of the front desk staff. Everyone makes you feel welcome and quickly answers any questions. They have a set curriculum of skills, even for the recreational level, and I’ve seen a great deal of progress while we’ve been there. They also have many open gym and clinic days you can participate in for extra practice. Highly recommend!
