It's important to note that, like any sports complex, experiences can vary. Customer reviews offer a balanced perspective on the gym’s strengths and weaknesses. One parent expressed immense satisfaction after switching to this gym, noting a significant improvement in their daughter's skills and, more importantly, her self-confidence. They praised the coaches for being knowledgeable, tough, but loving, and for their ability to correct students professionally without yelling. This positive experience highlights the potential for a truly transformative journey at this facility, where a caring and effective coaching style can lead to remarkable progress and a love for the sport. The success of their competitive program in local competitions, as mentioned in the review, further underscores the quality of training provided for dedicated athletes. Conversely, another review noted concerns about minimal coaching, lack of staff, and team bonding issues, which suggests that communication and consistency may be areas the complex is working to improve. These varied experiences emphasize the importance for parents to visit the facility, observe classes, and communicate with staff to ensure that the environment and coaching style align with their family's expectations and goals. Despite these differences, the core of American Gymnastics Training Center remains a place with the potential to build strong, confident, and skilled gymnasts.

The reviews offer two very distinct viewpoints, which, when taken together, paint a full picture of the experience. The positive review highlights the profound impact that the right coaching can have, leading to not only improved physical skills but also a significant boost in a child's self-confidence. This speaks to the heart that some coaches put into their work, making a real difference in the lives of their students. The success of their competitive team in competitions, as a result of this dedicated coaching, is a testament to the high-quality training available for those who choose that path. While the negative feedback regarding staffing and organization is important to consider, it also highlights the potential for a deeply personal and rewarding experience if the environment is a good fit. The fact that the gym offers adult classes and birthday parties also broadens its appeal, making it a valuable community resource for more than just children’s training. This variety of services, combined with the gym's commitment to accessibility, makes American Gymnastics Training Center a robust option. For parents who are looking for a place where their child can not only learn gymnastics skills but also build confidence and character in a potentially nurturing environment, this complex is definitely worth exploring.

American Gymnastics Training Center Reviews
Minimal coaching at best. There are not enough coaches to effectively train their students. The owner did say they were interviewing candidates, but we’ve been waiting almost two years! Not only did my daughter not progress, the skills she had acquired before became very sloppy. Team bonding wasn’t inclusive and the front desk lacked skills in hospitality and organization. Schedules are not accommodating for working parents and volunteering is overly utilized and under appreciated. Unfortunately, I do not recommend.
August 18 · Wendy WilliamsMy daughter switched gyms from NEGX to here. We are so happy we did! Her gymnastics skills have improved but more importantly her self confidence. These coaches put their hearts into these kids and are very knowledgeable. They are tough but loving. They don't yell at them but correct them in a professional manner. My daughter would cry coming home from practice every night at NEGX and at American she smiles. This gyms is one of the best in CT and it shows when the girls compete.
February 02 · NicoleI didn’t like this center for my child because there was absolutely no interaction to me from the instructor or anyone telling me about my child’s progress. The only communication I would get is when we need to make up a class from the front desk secretary.I am very disappointed that I wasted my money. It really was more of a play time hour than a class horrible. Unorganized and no communication equals fool me once shame on me..I won’t give them another dollar to be a fool twice. Look elsewhere.
