★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It sucks that the basketball courts, pool, and lockers are not available I know there was a fire sometime back but every time I ask or call they have no answer as to when these things will be up and running again and for the price it's just upsetting
July 19 · Héctor RamosDo not take your kids here. They will keep them alive but your kids will NOT thrive. Daughter was there 4 months. Was victim of 3 incidents with other kids biting and hitting her in the 1st month. Ms Erin n ms Brenda were mean to my daughter. She cried every day for 4 months during drop off. Ms Pat is nice but needs to hire better staff. I called corporate in month 2 and crystal Messer said things should get better and they didn't. I ended up getting a free scholarship in oct and still pulled my daughter in nov because even free, that place is an entire hot mess. They fed my kid old dunkin donuts for over a month for snack after i asked for them to stop. Also no one ever knew what was going on during pick up. How they still get funding is crazy to me!
December 04 · Rosa LopezThere is a limit to what constitutes a YMCA…having exercise machines, mats and free weights does NOT even begin to live up to the YMCA reputation. Not having any locker room to change in and out of your gym attire doesn’t even make this a GYM! Rename it the Allentown DayCare facility. Poor management has led to this; it’s very sad to see what they did to an Allentown institution! Sadly, the other Lehigh Valley Y facilities are in such poor condition it leaves us giving up on the Y completely. Look elsewhere.
December 07 · ChrisPoorly run organization. They don't live by the values they preach. Unprofessional, terrible communication. They took money out of my account without my authorization. I would never send my daughter to their camp again.
November 03 · Katie WilkeThis place has discriminated against mentally challenged people. They abuse the special needs during our visit I was told it’s not family day we shouldn’t be here and to leave, while trying to swim. When explained we were members they then waited for my special needs child to start swimming to tell me an aid must be in the water with her and we must leave . Now I’ve taken my child to this YMCA many times before and never have I had this issue mostly glares and stares. That day I felt my child was targeted, disrespected, and discriminated against. I’ve contacted corporate and the program specialist Mike, yet still no answers or proof of the policy stating my high functioning adult special needs child can’t swim without an aid anymore. This is ridiculous my child’s day was ruined because of unprofessional staff the pool supervisor and lifeguard on duty at the time had no compassion and looked disgusted with my child just for being present. I will not return and I will make sure this issue is addressed.
