yogazan Introduce
Welcome to yogazan, a unique and intimate yoga studio nestled in the vibrant community of Santa Monica, California. This isn’t your typical large, impersonal gym; it’s a focused and dedicated space designed to provide a truly personal and meaningful yoga experience. As one visitor noted, it’s a "great little studio" that makes everyone feel personally welcomed. The core philosophy of yogazan is to offer a perfect blend of guidance and presence, ensuring that every student receives the attention they need to deepen their practice. The instructors are known for their "clear but nuanced instruction," which can help seasoned yogis find "new sensations even in familiar poses," while still being accessible to beginners. This thoughtful approach ensures that no one feels left behind or overwhelmed. Whether you're looking to build strength, increase flexibility, or simply find a moment of peace in your busy day, yogazan offers a sanctuary where you can connect with your body and mind. The studio provides a supportive and inclusive environment where the focus is on your personal journey, not on perfection or competition. This commitment to the individual is what makes yogazan a beloved part of the Santa Monica wellness scene.
The experience at yogazan is marked by its authentic and intentional atmosphere. The studio is a place where every person is acknowledged and made to feel part of the community, as a client review highlighted, with one instructor, Jay, making them feel "personally welcomed" and really acknowledging "everyone in the space." This level of personal connection is invaluable and contributes to the studio's positive and inviting vibe. While the studio maintains a strict policy on punctuality—a client was not admitted after being two minutes late, citing a road closure—this rule is in place to ensure that classes are not interrupted and that every student can have a focused, uninterrupted practice. While it can be frustrating, this policy reflects a deep respect for both the instructor and the students who arrive on time. It ensures that the integrity of the class is maintained, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the practice without distractions. The studio’s commitment to providing a high-quality experience is also evident in its ability to offer both in-studio classes and live-streamed sessions, providing flexibility for those who prefer to practice from the comfort of their home. This adaptability, combined with the expert instruction and the welcoming atmosphere, makes yogazan a standout choice for anyone in the California region seeking a truly personal and impactful yoga practice. It’s a place where you can find both challenge and peace, and leave feeling centered and rejuvenated.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great little studio. As someone just dropping by from out of town, Jay made me feel personally welcomed and I appreciated that he really acknowledged everyone in the space. He offers clear but nuanced instruction which helped me find some new sensations even in familiar poses, but not so much that it felt overly technical -- A perfect blend of presence and guidance.
June 15 · Paul ChakerianGreat studio, came there a few times. But today I was 2 minutes late and they locked the studio, didn’t let me in. I understand we need to be respectful of time and not interrupt the class. But 2 minutes? Seriously? The road was closed and now I lost the class I signed up for and wasted time coming there 😞
July 13 · Annetta KhBy far my favorite yoga studio I’ve ever been to. I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and have been to my fair share of studios. I’m so grateful to have found Yogazan and hope others get to experience the beautiful, nurturing teachers and classes they have to offer!
March 21 · Chase O'DonnellThis is a great studio. I've been here for almost 2 months now and am loving it. I've taken classes from quite a few of the instructors and they all have been very experienced, passionate and welcoming. It's a great environment to practice yoga in.
November 07 · robert tomaschGreat teachers, affordable prices, peaceful space, easy parking! I'm a big fan of yogazan and I love the new location. Jay is an OG yoga teacher who has been teaching on the west side since I began practicing over 15 years ago at the old Power Yoga studio. All of the teachers here are wonderful and very experienced. I try to make it to Dianne's 10:30 Saturday class whenever I can. A guaranteed recharge to start off the weekend. They are very welcoming to new students. See you there!
