Unlike large, crowded corporate gym classes, this studio maintains a comfortable and intimate setting, allowing for more personalized attention from the instructors. The focus here is on the journey, not the destination, making it an ideal choice for both seasoned practitioners and those just starting their yoga path. The studio’s ethos is built on the belief that yoga should be approachable and beneficial for everyone, providing a safe haven to explore the mind-body connection.
The concept behind Unfold Yoga Collective is to foster a true collective—a space where people can share a moment of peace and harmony. This is evident in the thoughtful details, such as the use of "assist" or "no assist" cards, which allow for a non-verbal way for students to communicate their preferences to the teachers. This simple but effective feature respects individual boundaries and enhances the sense of security and comfort. The instructors are not only highly knowledgeable but also masters of creating a flowing, peaceful environment. They bring a level of professionalism and expertise that is deeply appreciated by even the most experienced yogis. The studio also embraces modern convenience, allowing students to Bluetooth into the playlist if they prefer to flow with their own music. Beyond the classes themselves, Unfold Yoga Collective also demonstrates a commitment to giving back to the community, occasionally offering free classes at local spots like Lakeview Pavilion, providing an excellent opportunity for people to explore yoga in a relaxed, open setting. The positive feedback from community members who have experienced this genuine care and professionalism speaks volumes about the studio’s mission and impact.

September 08 · walter ThorneStopped by for an evening class since they opened semi-recently. The concept of the studio is great, and the instructor for the Monday night beginner class was so friendly. The studio space was welcoming, the only thing was you could kind of hear the karate class next door but it wasn’t super distracting! Would definitely return for more classes!
August 30 · Ashleigh MavrosThe instructors are amazing! I have been going to their classes for over 2 years at another studio. I had no prior experience in yoga, but they were very welcoming and made me comfortable trying something new. They also have a great sense of humor. You’ll enjoy their class no matter your experience level.
May 26 · Chris OligschlaegerHands down my favorite yoga studio! This is such a welcoming and authentic space to practice and the teachers are incredible. I always try to come here when I'm visiting Chicago, and am very grateful for their virtual class offerings.
July 24 · Regina WolfeAll the teachers here amazing, vastly experienced, with their own unique styles that keep things fresh without ever being inconsistent class to class. Just stop reading Yoga studio reviews and try it.If you've done the Yoga thing a lot in the past you can start at Vinyasa no problem, but even if you have -- and definitely if you are new or returning -- the foundations classes here are awesome and are such an approachable way to get started. Parts of Yoga that were always inscrutable or unapproachable will finally make sense. And you'll build that baseline level of knowledge, strength, and flexibility to make the higher level classes more fun, interesting, and playful.
