The Full Routine - South Bay Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For California residents in the highly active and fitness-focused South Bay area, the search for a challenging yet genuinely fun workout often leads to boutique specialty studios. The Full Routine - South Bay in Hawthorne, CA, has quickly established itself as a premier destination, perfectly blending the core principles of Pilates with the high-energy, full-body intensity of a modern group fitness class. While defined as a Pilates studio, it functions as a comprehensive 'sports complex' for body conditioning, offering a unique, integrated approach to physical transformation.
The studio’s name is inspired by the belief that a 'Full Routine'—a stack of intentional habits—is the key to achieving desired results, extending beyond simple exercise to holistic well-being. This is where classical Pilates meets an athletic, contemporary twist, creating workouts that are both rooted in tradition and dynamically effective. The community vibe is strongly emphasized, with clients consistently raving about the positive energy, inspiring instructors, and the effective balance of cardio, sculpt, and dance elements. It is a place where every class is intentionally pre-programmed and every instructor is committed to delivering a kick-butt, full-body routine that keeps things fresh and challenging each week.
The Full Routine is committed to building a strong, confident body and mind. It’s an hour of focused, high-intensity movement that provides a mental reset, an endorphin boost, and a true sense of camaraderie, making it a favorite among South Bay locals who demand both a fun and results-driven fitness experience.
Location and Accessibility
The Full Routine - South Bay is strategically located to serve the communities of Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and surrounding areas. This central South Bay location makes it a highly convenient option for local users to incorporate into their busy California routines.
The studio's address is:
5225 W Rosecrans Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250, USA
Accessibility is a significant highlight of this location. The studio is situated within a well-known center, providing a major convenience that is often scarce in the busy South Bay region: Plenty of free parking. Clients can easily enter the parking center off Rosecrans Avenue, and the studio is tucked into the corner, often near popular eateries like Jimmy John’s. This ease of parking removes a common barrier to fitness, ensuring a smooth start and end to your routine.
The studio also welcomes first-time visitors and is highly organized. The front desk staff is known to be kind and helpful, which ensures a welcoming experience from the moment you walk in. While the workout is challenging, the logistics of getting there and checking in are seamless.
Services Offered
The Full Routine offers two distinct, yet complementary, high-impact workout styles, both designed for a comprehensive, full-body transformation. All classes are pre-programmed weekly, ensuring a consistent and effective workout regardless of the time or instructor.
Our core services include:
- TFR Mat Classes (Heated): This signature, high-intensity mat Pilates class is driven by the music's beat and the heat of the room (temperatures may reach up to 90°F). It masterfully blends elements of traditional Pilates mat work, full-body sculpting, cardio, and dance into a single, dynamic session, divided into three key routines: the Arm Routine, the Pilates Mat Routine, and the Full-Body Shape Routine. (Note: Clients must wear shoes and should bring a mat towel for this class due to the heat and sweat.)
- TFR Reformer Classes: These classes elevate the Pilates journey by utilizing the Reformer machine. Rooted in the traditional, classical repertoire, the workouts are delivered with an athletic twist, optimizing muscle engagement through resistance and support for unparalleled, low-impact results.
- Weekly Pre-Programmed Workouts: Both the Mat and Reformer classes feature workouts that are personally programmed each week by the founder, ensuring consistency, challenge, and continuous progression across all classes and instructors.
- Instructor-Led Group Fitness: All sessions are group classes led by expert instructors who provide energetic motivation, detailed cues, and a fun atmosphere.
- Workout Gear Availability: The studio offers the sale of essential items like towels, mats, and reformer straps for client convenience and personal sanitation.
Features / Highlights
The studio’s unique features are what truly differentiate it in the competitive South Bay fitness landscape, creating an environment that is both physically demanding and mentally rewarding.
- Infrared Heated Studio: The TFR Mat class is held in an infrared heated room, which contributes to a deep sweat and is designed to intensify the workout, help with detoxification, and aid muscle pliability, without becoming too hot or uncomfortable.
- Authentic and Inspiring Instructors: Customer feedback repeatedly highlights the instructors’ ability to deliver classes with empowerment, high energy, and genuine inspiration. Teachers are praised for their clear cueing and ability to motivate students to push their limits.
- Dynamic Workout Combination: The signature TFR Mat class is a perfect fusion of cardio, sculpt, and dance, making the workout genuinely fun while still being incredibly effective and challenging, even for those who consider themselves 'awkward in movement.'
- Community and Accountability: The studio fosters a strong sense of community, where members cheer each other on. This camaraderie and built-in accountability is a significant factor in helping clients stay committed to their fitness goals.
- Convenient Booking and Policy: Classes are available to book online for the following seven days starting every Sunday at 9:30 AM PST. The studio has clear policies for late arrival (text or call the studio) and late cancellations/no-shows, ensuring commitment and respect for other members.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am this place opened up close to me! I have been looking for a group fitness class and I have been having an absolute blast here. I’ve taken classes with a few different instructors and they’re all great, but I consistently take Amanda’s classes on Monday and Wednesdays. I have so so so much fun and I love how each week the combos change. The classes are challenging but the music and Amanda’s positive attitude keep me pushing. Shoutout TFR, love this place. I have been telling all my South Bay friends to give this place a shot. See you on the mat!
September 23 · Marissa MeltzerToday I tried The Full Routine for my first time and it was both fun and challenging. I took Monica’s class and she is actually one of the best instructors I have ever encountered in terms of empowerment and energy. She was authentic and genuinely inspiring. I was so impressed by her ability to queue and lead the class with such vigor. The room was heated and it definitely helped contribute to my sweat but it was not too hot to the point where I felt like I had to leave… yay !The workout itself is a perfect balance of cardio, sculpt, and dance. It is genuinely fun and challenged my coordination since I can be on the awkward end of movement …I do wish that I had known to also bring a mat towel and not just a regular towel prior to class lol… but that totally could be on me.The front desk staff was so kind. I’ll definitely be back ! It’s not often a workout feels this fun but effective.
August 27 · Kelly SidneyI’m so glad I stumbled on TFR! I stopped in on a whim and was immediately welcomed by the teachers and staff. They convinced me to try it (luckily I had the right ‘fit but no towel— TAKE A TOWEL!!!) and it was amazing! I took Allyson’s class and loved her energy. The class is broken into three parts, but the whole thing is dance-party fun. The workout was challenging but not impossible. It helps if you have some Pilates/barre/Jane Fonda etc experience because it’s very fast paced— there isn’t a ton of specific instruction and there’s no correction, but the instructor demonstrates the moves clearly. It took me a minute to get some of the multi-step moves, but I liked that you do them long enough (like for an entire song) that you have time to catch up, and therefore get the benefit of that particular exercise. I loved the hot room, the dance energy, and the great workout! Definitely going back whenever I’m in town!
September 19 · Hannah StarnerChallenging classes and energetic instructors. To charge $260/month (price increasing again soon) with NO showers and the amount you sweat is crazy though!
August 27 · Jennifer MWent today for the first time and took McKenna’s class and it was such a treat. I loved it and will definitely be back!
