Stretch N Motion Introduce
For individuals in Massachusetts who are tired of living with chronic pain, limited mobility, or are simply looking to enhance their athletic performance, Stretch N Motion in Braintree offers a highly specialized and effective solution. This is not a traditional gym with a wide range of equipment, but a dedicated wellness studio focused on the powerful combination of stretch therapy and sports massage. It’s a place where the art of stretching and the science of bodywork come together to provide lasting relief and tangible results. Founded by co-founders Alicia Kelly and Chuck Lunney, this women-owned business has quickly become a trusted resource on the South Shore for a diverse clientele, including athletes, firefighters, and everyday people dealing with persistent discomfort. The mission here is to help every client feel stronger, move better, and live with less pain by addressing the root causes of their physical limitations.
The core of Stretch N Motion’s philosophy is the understanding of the body's fascial system—the connective tissue that surrounds muscles and other structures. As a certified stretch therapist, co-founder Alicia Kelly utilizes a “contract and release” method to work through this tissue, a technique that can significantly increase flexibility, range of motion, and athletic performance. At the same time, co-founder Chuck Lunney, a skilled massage therapist, uses over-the-clothes, deep-tissue massages to target specific trigger points and release chronic tension. This one-two combination is what makes the services so effective. The team believes that by focusing on the fascial system, they can achieve a level of relief and mobility that is often missed by more traditional treatments like gentle massages or physical therapy. The studio's commitment to hands-on, one-on-one bodywork for the entire duration of a session sets them apart and ensures that clients are getting the most out of every minute they spend there.
In addition to their core services, the staff at Stretch N Motion is committed to providing a holistic approach to wellness. They understand that pain and immobility can be caused by a variety of factors, including injury, sedentary lifestyles, or repetitive strain. Their expertise allows them to work with a wide range of clients, from a high-performance athlete seeking a competitive edge to someone simply trying to get through the day without back pain. The positive and encouraging environment is a key part of the experience. Clients often report feeling lighter and more energized after a session, with noticeable improvements in their physical capabilities. The staff, including other certified therapists, are dedicated to their craft and are passionate about helping clients not just feel better in the short term, but also empowering them with the knowledge and mobility coaching needed for long-term well-being. This focus on sustainable results is what keeps clients coming back and makes Stretch N Motion a valuable part of the Braintree community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went here after 15 plus years of chronic lower back pain. Nothing helped. I had PT, cortisone shots, pain block injections, chiropractor and anything else you can think of. The sessions are not easy. This is not a gentle fluffy massage and stretch. This is work. I had almost given up on this but right around the 3 month mark, going consistently once per week, I slept through the night without waking up from back pain for the first time in years. It may not sound like a big deal but it is. My lower back pain is substantially less. I feel great, my workouts are better and I’m sleeping through the night which makes me more efficient and effective at work and in general. Give it shot. I’m so glad I did.
March 31 · TraceyMy 8 year old daughter comes to get stretched to help with her cheer body positions. Marissa and Doreen are amazing! My daughter’s flexibility has come so far! She feels amazing every time she leaves!
June 30 · Christa FasoliBeen going here for a year because a patient recommended them. Her words were “they saved my life”. I had a should injury over a year and a half ago and I also have scoliosis. I have tried PT and the chiropractor many times. It’s helped but the pain was always still there and it only worked for so long before everything was out of wack again. Stretch n motion has actually made it so my shoulder moves the way it was meant to .I have full range again. The pain is 99% better. My back is also straighter since coming. They really are life saving!
April 28 · Marissa LeavittA friend referred me to StretchNMotion and I'm so gratefull that she did---my favorite activity is ballroom dancing and sometimes it takes a toll:) Andrew and Maria (and Drew originally) are all very effective and so caring about what "part" you need help with that week. It is not for the "faint of heart" as your body gets a great workout but you feel so great when you leave! I highly recommend either the Braintree (or Weymouth) locations.
June 22 · Susan MulhollandWe first experienced mini massage and stretch sessions at a pop-up event and decided to give full sessions a try. They were that good. We've been customers ever since, experiencing much increased flexibility. As people working desk jobs, you don't realize how much your joints stiffen up. Thank you, Alicia, Chuck, and everyone else at Stretch N Motion for your great services!
