★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Update :To Nicole- at no point did I said “call an ambulance or else” - the back and forth will not seek any results. My review stands as is, for those looking for a new Bikram/Hot studio, please take everything into consideration. Look at other reviews, don’t take my word as a golden rule.———What an AWFUL experience....Was excited to get back into yoga and was looking forward to sharing this experience with a friend. The good- people taking the class all seem very nice. The instructor knowledgeable in palates. The bad - studio smell like sweat that has not been cleaned up in ... ever.- the studio owner is unprofessional and rude and there is nothing "namaste" about her demeanor.- the instructor seems threatened and terrified of her boss (the owner) to the point of creating a false narrativeWill not be returning. If you are okay with disrespectful behavior and just taking class by disconnecting with the rest of the world- this is a place for you.Disclaimer - I am a health professional with 30+ years of dance teaching experience. When your hot yoga studio forbids you from leaving the room during class, even if you felt unwell, it raises concerns about safety. To add insult to injury when the studio owner proceeds to yell at you, questions you says that by leaving the class was disrupted, and insults - that's speaks volumes about the culture of the practice. If I didn't leave, the class would have been even more disrupted with the instructor unable to teach at all because they would need to take care of the student instead of teaching,Furthermore, when the owner accuses the client that because of the client the owner could not complete their scheduled personal important appointment- that demonstrates concern for the owner's mental state. There are safety risks involved with hot yoga and it is the responsibility of the instructor and the student to ensure safety.Listening to your body is paramount: Regardless of studio policy, your well-being should be the priority. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, or experience any other signs of heat intolerance or illness during a hot yoga class, it's essential to take a break or leave the room. Same with dance -pushing through injury is highly discouraged as it may cause further injury.People are paying for the class, this is not a prison. No one comes to class looking to disobey any rules, this is supposed to be a fun and relaxing experience.
July 29 · Maria FarberovIf you are looking for relaxation, a great stretch, and to test your endurance the 26&2 is for you!Want something INTENSE the ignite class, somewhere in between?? The Barre class.I have fallen in love with the offerings of Some Like it Hot. But please know that Hot Yoga is not your average Vinyasa. Hydration is IMPORTANT! Think gatorade, electrolytes, not just water. I would recommend everyone to try a class. Even if you just lay in the room. You will have tested yourself and come out all the better for it!
April 15 · Flora AlbrightSLIH is truly something special! The heated classes allow students to enhance their practice while building strength and flexibility. Besides yoga, the studio also offers fantastic Pilates and barre classes that provide an excellent full-body workout and beautifully complement the benefits of hot yoga. The instructors are knowledgeable. The studio is clean and well-cared-for. If you’re in the mood to sweat, stretch, and build strength, this is the studio for you!
