This article aims to give you a clear and balanced perspective, allowing you to make an informed decision about whether is the right fit for your fitness goals.
Public reviews for Short Hills present a mixed perspective, largely praising the workout itself while expressing frustration with certain aspects of the business operations. The workouts are consistently described as "excellent," "challenging," and "well-structured." The coaches are highly regarded, with one reviewer noting that they are "great" and provide hands-on adjustments to ensure proper form. Another mentioned that the instructors are "phenomenal" and "such a vibrant spirit." The classes are effective, with one person noting that they always found it difficult to maintain a routine, but "keeps me on my toes every class." The workout, which involves slow and controlled movements on a reformer, is also recognized for its ability to deliver a "great workout" that is both "intense" and provides "great results."
However, the customer service and business policies are a point of contention for some. Reviewers have highlighted issues with a "rigid and punishing" late cancellation fee policy, which led to a member paying more in fees than for their class pass. This can create a "frustrating and almost predatory experience." The five-minute grace period for late arrivals is also considered "unreasonable," especially given the potential for traffic delays in New Jersey, a point that left one customer feeling "disheartened." The front desk staff are described by one reviewer as "unhelpful" and lacking in knowledge, with a perceived lack of accountability from management. The contrasting experiences—loving the class but being frustrated by everything else—leave some feeling that the "great workouts are not worth this level of frustration," leading to a 5/10 overall experience for some.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1While the Solidcore classes themselves are excellent—challenging, well-structured, and led by great coaches—the overall customer experience leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, everything outside of the workout detracts from the value. The late cancellation fee policy is unnecessarily rigid and punishing. I ended up paying more in fees than I did for the actual pass I purchased. This creates a frustrating and almost predatory experience, especially when life happens and plans need to shift. The front desk staff were consistently unhelpful and lacked the knowledge (or willingness) to clearly explain policies. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, instead of reaching out personally, he had another front desk employee call me. That alone speaks volumes about the lack of accountability and professionalism. In short, I love the classes but everything else about the place needs serious improvement—from customer service to communication to policy transparency. At best, it’s a 5/10 experience overall. I’m not sure great workouts are worth this level of frustration.
May 27 · Kimberly hernandezI genuinely enjoy this place, but I had an incredibly disappointing experience today. I arrived four minutes late and checked in with the front desk attendant, who instructed me to hurry to the class. After putting my belongings down, I entered the classroom, but by the time I got there, it had been approximately six minutes. The instructor told me that I could not stay for the class, despite having driven 45 minutes and paying $42 for the session.I am typically punctual, so this is an experience I’ve never encountered before. The delay was caused by a five-car accident on the parkway, which made me a few minutes late. However, it seems unreasonable to be turned away for being just a minute over the five-minute grace period, especially considering I needed time to secure my belongings in a locker. While the classes offered here are excellent, this experience has left a negative impression. These classes are not inexpensive, and the location is not easily accessible, requiring a significant drive from many areas in New Jersey. I understand the need for a grace period, but a five-minute window feels overly strict, particularly when unexpected events, such as traffic delays, can cause minor setbacks. A more reasonable grace period, such as 10 to 15 minutes, would be more accommodating and fair. It’s disheartening to feel penalized after making a considerable effort to attend and having paid for the service. This policy should be reconsidered, as there are many factors that can lead to a few minutes' delay, and it seems unjust to be turned away under such circumstances.
May 06 · Lee TorresCoaches are great and workout is challenging but who wants to work out under the “blue lights” without HVAC? Day 4 still not fixed and no refund. You’d expect better maintenance and better client experience.
April 07 · Nathalia ValdesTook a beginner class with Jordan and it was amazing. She encourages you to be a better version of yourself while guiding you throught the class. Loved it and now I love Solidcore!
April 08 · Nkechinyere OparaThe front staff and coaches are seriously the best! So welcoming, motivating, and always bring the best energy. I love coming here!
