[solidcore] Carmel Introduce
For fitness enthusiasts in the Indianapolis area, particularly in Carmel, finding a workout that is both effective and engaging can be a challenge. Carmel offers a unique solution, branding itself as a high-intensity, low-impact strength training workout. This is not a traditional gym, but a specialized studio that utilizes a unique, Pilates-inspired reformer machine called "Sweatlana." The workout's core philosophy is to push muscles to the point of failure through slow and controlled movements, a process that is scientifically designed to break down muscle fibers so they can rebuild stronger. The immersive experience takes place under low blue lights with loud, energetic music, creating a unique and motivating atmosphere that pushes clients to their limits.
The 50-minute classes are designed to be challenging for everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes. As described by itself, the workout is intense, but the results are immediate. The emphasis is on continuous time under tension to increase muscular endurance and strength. This approach sets it apart from traditional fitness programs and even from classical Pilates, which has a different focus on breathing and smoother movements. While the workout is physically demanding, it is also low-impact, making it a viable option for those who need to be mindful of their joints. The coaches play a crucial role, providing hands-on adjustments and constant motivation to ensure proper form and to help clients push through the shakes that signify their muscles are working to failure.
Customer reviews from local users in Indiana reflect the intense nature of the workout and the dedication of the coaches. Many rave about the results and the quality of the coaching staff, describing them as "amazing," "encouraging," and "down to earth and genuine." The studio's popularity, however, also presents a challenge, as one review pointed out. The high demand for classes can lead to full classes and long waitlists, making it "sooo hard to get into a class." This suggests that while the workout is highly sought after, booking in advance is a necessity. Another review, while loving the workout itself, was disappointed by a recent social event where they felt unacknowledged by the staff, which led them to recommend a different location. This highlights the importance of feeling a part of the community and the potential for a less than ideal experience if that connection isn't made.

For residents of Indiana, Carmel is a worthwhile choice for anyone seeking a workout that is both effective and different from the norm. What is truly worth choosing is the workout's proven ability to deliver results. The focus on working muscles to failure creates a powerful stimulus for strength and definition that many traditional workouts simply can't match. For those who are tired of the same old routine and want to be pushed to their limits in a controlled and safe environment, is an excellent option. The quality of the coaching staff is a major selling point, with reviewers consistently praising their expertise and motivating presence.
While the studio's popularity can make it difficult to get into classes, this high demand is also a testament to its effectiveness. The community aspect is a key motivator for many, providing a supportive atmosphere to help stay on track. However, it is important for new clients to be proactive in scheduling classes and, as one review suggested, to reach out to staff to ensure a personal connection is established from the beginning. Ultimately, for a local user in Indiana seeking a challenging, low-impact workout that promises significant results, Carmel is a unique and rewarding fitness journey worth taking.

[solidcore] Carmel Reviews
Love solidcore! However after recently visiting this location for their summer social event and going unacknowledged for 10 mins, I will not be returning. Not sure if it's because I am not a regular or what, but having everyone else be included without so much as a "hi" or smile from the staff was very disheartening. I recommend the broad ripple location.
August 20 · Tiffany CollinsI loooove solidcore and this studio + the coaches are amazing. My only complaint is - I think it’s time to expand!! Lately it has been sooo hard to get into a class because the waitlists are always full. Even today, every class is full and I have been on the waitlist for over a week and won’t be able to attend today :(
April 12 · Alisa NorrisReally disappointed in this studio. I have used class pass for years in Australia and UK to book various classes most days, and had booked a class at this studio at 9.30am while we were travelling to visit family. Arrived at 9.30 and the doors were locked and no one was around. I tired to knock and there was a sign saying you need to download the app to get a code for the door. After fiddling around with this and downloading for 10 minutes, I was then unable to access a code as ClassPass isn’t linked to the app. I tried to call, email and knock on the door but no one answered. We had driven 30 minutes to the studio with our toddler and when we finally were able to speak to someone an hour later when they came to reception to explain what had happened they were very dismissive and said I would have been sent the code via email through ClassPass. The code was right at the bottom of the class confirmed email which no one would see, and it’s confusing that at the door it said you have to download an app. It would have been ok if the staff would have been understanding and polite about it. I asked if I could join the 10.30 class instead as I could see only 4 out of the 15 spots had been booked and we had waited outside for an hour, but they said I would need to pay again and rebook.
November 11 · LucyI took one class here and do not plan on returning, but not because it wasn’t a great workout. It absolutely was, and the teacher was very welcoming to first-timers. I tried to contact the studio several times and through every avenue possible (phone, email, in person) to ask a question about the class pack I had purchased, and got zero response. They don’t answer the phone, don’t return voicemails, and also didn’t have a receptionist when I came in for class. Yet they will definitely send you automated emails and texts to try to get you back in class. Paying for these workouts isn’t cheap and at the very least you should be able to answer your customers’ questions.
February 01 · Sarah WilliamsI have taken SolidCore classes in multiple cities. This studio had the best intentions but the music was so loud the instructor was yelling into her microphone to give instructions that were rushed, unclear and barely audible. To create a repeatable base of clients in the fitness industry you have to make newcomers feel welcome and educated. This studio and instructor did neither. It was suggested: take a look around at the seasoned regulars to follow along; in a darkened studio with music that was at levels similar to a concert.Disappointed as this studio gives the brand a bad name.
