The passion and care that go into this place are evident in the feedback from the people who know it best: the families. As one parent enthusiastically described, "This place is a wonderland for rambunctious kids! So many things to play with and so little trouble they can get into. It can be a gymnastics gym but I come for open play and my kids have a blast. They have free coffee, (and snacks to buy) wifi and places to hang for parents while the kids play. The soft play area is fully padded, there are things to climb on and jump on (and off) there's a small ball pit and swings. There's a rock climbing wall and Ninja ropes course. They stock diapers, have clean bathrooms and have a huge toy area to hang in when the kids need a rest. The setup changes almost weekly and everyone is so friendly! I've met so many new mom friends here!" This glowing review captures the essence of Sky High Gymnastics as a place that caters to both children and their parents, creating a welcoming and supportive community.
Another parent highlighted the positive impact on their child's life, sharing, "My daughter absolutely adores this place. She has done a few individual classes as well as their week long summer camps and she always has a wonderful time. Their prices are reasonable, and the kids get a bit of exercise and learning. I recommend them highly!" August 20 · DMy kiddo was invited to a birthday party held at Sky High Gymnastics. We had a very fun time. All the equipment seemed clean and in good working order. There was so much for the kids to do ranging from rock climbing to hammock swings. I spoke with the owner and she seems passionate about giving children, especially those with special needs, a safe and fun place to play. There were bubbles running, a fan for launching scarves, and a zip line. The music was mostly Disney and appropriate for the age group and at a comfortable volume. The owner helped the kids make ice cream sundaes and everyone had a great time from what I could tell.
April 28 · StephanieFantastic place! Occasionally a little messy but totally expected with kids. We've been attending classes in one form or another for a few years now and I cannot express my gratitude to the owner and her staff enough. My girls have learned more than just gymnastics skills here and that's above and beyond what we expected when we first enrolled. The staff at Sky High do everything in their power to ensure the kids have fun and stay safe while learning the art of gymnastics. It's very inclusive and the instructors take their time to get to know their students' learning styles while gently leading them through exercises to improve their knowledge and skills. What is really great is Sky High allows kids to be kids and offers free play at the end of each session, where students can work on skills from class or try out new equipment. Plus, they will modify exercises to accommodate those needing extra time to figure out the mechanics of each skill or those coming back from an injury like my oldest. And, for families like ours with little ones not ready for advanced courses but being dragged along, there are toys, books and playhouses set up to keep little minds and bodies occupied while their siblings are in session.Sky High also offers Open Play for families just looking to experience gymnastics in the form of unstructured play, which we take advantage of on high energy days. They have Camp with themed weeks in the summer! We are loving that campers are able to take field trips to the community pool and playground this year as a part of their camp experience on top of the fun crafts and activities they enjoy at the gym each day. And they even do birthday parties! The staff are always kind, friendly and seeking to improve by asking "what more can we do" not only for their clients but the community as well. Definitely don't judge this gem (pun intended) too hastily because you are sure to miss out on something that could be great for your family!Huge thank you to the owner and staff at Sky High for all that you do!
July 01 · Kestrell Lowe-GoffVery disorganized, a mess, bad odor. No one tending to the front desk, which was trashed. First day there. No announcement that class was starting- had never been there before so didn’t know- anything. Had to ask if the class was starting. My daughter is brand new to gymnastics in general. Was told to do things she had no idea how to do, which is fine, but was not given a demonstration nor hands on adjustments. Too lax. I felt bad because all the moms were yelling at their kids to pay attention but the instructor did not command attention. Felt like she didn’t want to be there. I mean I get their frustration… you’re paying for something and want to get the most out of it. There was a toddler with fat tears running down her cheeks in the waiting area who was super sad because she wanted her dad to come. She said her mom left and that her sister was in the class and that the instructor, who had a group of students, was watching her. And that she was hungry. She looked SUPER sad and was probably like 3? I felt bad for the kid. It just felt like a poorly run situation. Will be going to Peterborough.
