★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Some equipment needs updating, benches are very unsteady, They do seem to struggle with AC every summer though. Last year I couldn't go to the gym for two weeks because they had no AC during a heat wave. And it seems the same is happening this week, fans all over the floors but no AC which is very uncomfortable when its 90 and humid out.Update its a week later and still no Air! This is so disappointing to have to cancel a membership all because they will not have working AC when it is 90 degrees outside. Me and my husband unfortunately will have to cancel. And in regards to the last response from retro, I think we have been patient enough, this is year two of it being like this, so clearly nothing is being done to fix it. They have also now removed the floor fans that they had all over the different sections of the gym, really making it unbearable to workout heavy. This company is going to regret being cheap and not paying for basic AC when all their members leave!
August 14 · MarieMario D. Over charged and was promised a return phone call. It's been 4 days...Neither the owner, Courtney, or corporate has reached out.Went into the gym and was told that the manager Joe was out all day and will not be returning again? They just don't care, nor do they look at the posts8/22. No response from retro manager, Joe8/23 was at the gym to find out Joe doesn't work on Saturdays. Him knowing this, made a conscientious decision to avoid calling me. Why would this not hurt the brand?
August 23 · Mario D'AmoreI recently signed up for a membership at Retro Fitness with the intention of participating in the group classes and was genuinely excited to get started. As a new member, I had several questions regarding class locations within the facility and how my unlimited membership worked. Unfortunately, my experience at the Ronkonkoma location was extremely disappointing. The customer service I received left me feeling unwelcome and unsupported. As a result, I chose to cancel my membership before I even had the chance to use the facility. It was a deeply discouraging and unpleasant experience.
June 23 · E GuI signed up for the unlimited pass and was told I can go to what ever retro fitness facility I wanted . I went to the ronkonkoma retro fitness location there was one employee working and he gave me such a hard time. He is the reason why I’ll never consider this gym again . I had to cancel my membership because unfortunately their is nothing closer to my location. Their policy is described during the sign up but not enforced once I became a member .
June 21 · B LIThis gym has become disgusting. I complain daily to the staff that there is no AC in the dead of summer. The owners don't care. Save your money go somewhere else because you cant even breathe working out in this gym. The weights are all in the basement and there is zero air flow or AC on. They are taking everyones money and supplying an unsafe environment.
