Choosing Project Fortius is a decision to prioritize quality, community, and personal growth. What makes it particularly worth choosing for Washington residents is its specialized and intelligent approach to fitness. Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, the gym offers tailored programs and expert coaching that meet members exactly where they are, whether they are a beginner or a seasoned athlete. The emphasis on proper form and balanced workouts, as noted by a reviewer, helps build a solid foundation and prevents the kind of burnout or injury that can come from more aggressive, less thoughtful programming.
The strong sense of community and inclusivity is another powerful reason to choose this gym. A friendly and encouraging environment can be the difference between sticking with a fitness routine and giving up. Project Fortius has successfully cultivated a space where members feel taken care of, supported, and confident. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I started working out at Project Fortius about 6 months ago with very little prior gym experience. The trainers (Mike, Andy and Jess) are deeply knowledgeable, kind and fantastic people. I felt very supported while ramping up and quickly started enjoying the workouts. I love that the exercises are suitable for beginners and experienced folks alike. they do a great job on programming: each workout feels challenging and balanced. Also love the class size!
September 28 · Divya KakkadGreat gym with a healthy mix of strength training as well as cardio, coached by experienced coaches who are very knowledgeable.I joined Project Fortius a year ago shortly after my Crossfit gym closed down. After working out here for a year, I would recommend anyone who is interested in getting fit or looking for a good gym to give Project Fortius a try. What I like about this place:Decent class size - class size is usually between 4 to 8 people, which is just small enough for you to get individual attention, but also large enough to have a group workout vibe.Great coaches - All the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Many of the coaches used to be or still are high level competitive athletes. And they have a passion to share their knowledge with you and help you succeed.Carefully selected workouts - the workouts are handpicked by the coach. It is usually a mix of strength work as well as cardio. Compared to Crossfit, we never do the crazy workouts like 200 air squats or super high reps of clean and jerk, which I m sure is great but just challenging if you are not very experienced. Instead, there's usually a strength session that involves some dumbbell/barbell work, then some form of cardio to finish things up.Personally, I don't consider myself very athletic and I had not been working out much before I joined. So joining a gym and doing strength workout was kind of intimidating for me. But Project Fortius really makes you feel comfortable and confident about yourself. The people here are friendly and encouraging, and you feel you are taken care of if you are ever confused about workouts or injuries.Definitely give Project Fortius a try, they also have a free trial class so you can get a sense of what is involved.
January 26 · Wei XiaWhile visiting a friend I had the pleasure of taking two classes and one personal training session at Project Fortius. First, everyone was kind and helpful, which is a big deal to me. Second, they can explain movement in a fantastic way and help adapt to your body type. Having the good fortune of working with Andy, Leigh Ann, and Mike was fantastic. If you are looking for a gym, personal training, a community, I would bet that you would find what you are looking for here. There should be no doubt in your mind that this is a solid place.
April 28 · Joshua SerranoProject Fortius is fantastic! The trainers are sharp and kind, Andy especially is super knowledgeable and helpful, he is a true coach and teacher. The equipment is impressive and the people in the classes are welcoming. I appreciate that people from every fitness level are involved, that the exercises are adaptable and challenging for all of us. I get great workouts, coaching and encouragement.
September 03 · Nathan HawkinsProject Fortius is a fantastic option for anyone who is looking to improve their overall strength and fitness in a mature, supportive, and professional environment. The community is welcoming and fun. Leigh Anne, Andy and Mike are truly exceptional trainers with decades of experience. There is a deep appreciation for movement and kinesiology that goes into creating a holistic approach to programming that you frankly don’t see at most gyms. If you ask a question, you get a thoughtful and reasoned explanation that helps you appreciate the “journey.” They do a masterful job demoing the workouts. This is not a bombastic, death-by-burpees box. You’ll meet a lot of really nice people to boot!
