★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our 9 year old daughter Mila has attended PCA since she started all star cheer in 2019. Now in her 5th season, she has gained so much from being a part of this gym! Each year Mila has been placed on a team that will challenge her and that she can progress with, and with the help of her coaches she has shown so much growth each year. We've had the opportunity to compete at the biggest events throughout the country, and bring home countless wins and top 3 placements, including a first place for Mila's team at the 2023 D2 Summit. More important than winning has always been personal growth and hard work from the athletes, and being proud no matter the placement. Their motto is win as a team, lose as a team, and athletes are never singled out for any mistakes that happen during competitions. All the coaches at the gym are top notch, knowledgeable, dedicated and truly role models for the kids. They show care and commitment to ensuring the success and growth of each athlete as individuals. The management team is professional and hands on, and extremely responsive to questions or concerns. There is never a question of what is expected of the kids or their families, including with travel arrangements and on the competition days.In addition to weekly practices, the gym offers many clinics to work on specific skills, summer and school vacation skill camps, as well as private lessons with the coaching team.Being a small gym, the culture is like that of a family, with all the kids knowing each other personally. There very rarely any issues or drama between the kids, and they always cheer each other on and show support for all of the teams at the gym. Mila has gained so many meaningful friendships through PCA!Most importantly, the gym holds itself to a high moral standard for conduct both in and out of the gym and on social media, showing support for all athletes and other gyms. You will not find a better program in Southern Maine!
March 08 · Janisa RosenwasserPort City Athletics has been a great gym for my daughter. The All Star Cheerleading can be very intimidating and have found all the owners and coaches have made this a wonderful experience. My daughter is on her 7th season with PCA. I’m happy with how they run their business and work with each child and help that child reach their goals. They’re honest and professional when it comes to what is expected within their program. First class is always free so go check them out!! I love our PCA family!!!
December 05 · Michelle ClineThis is my daughter’s first year with PCA and as a new PCA athlete and Mom, we are both having a great experience! The communication is great, everyone has been very welcoming and the coaches are fabulous!!
December 08 · Carolyn MortonPort City has an incredible skills building program. This is not sideline cheering this is cheer athletics. It combines dance, gymnastics and acrobatics. My daughter has also seen many benefits outside the gym . She has more confidence, is able to better follow directions, and has improved responsibility. She has a responsibility to always show up for her team mates. There is a commitment to some travel but we have found it to be a great bonding experience. Spending time with the other parents from the prep team has been great. The price can be high but their are tons of fundraising opportunities. So, with a little work, all can participate.
February 22 · Melissa RichterMy daughter LOVES PCA!!!! This is our second year here! There’s nothing better knowing she will come out of practice with a smile on her face every time! As the parent my favorite part is the complete transparency in all aspects of the gym. I always feel very informed!
