Orangetheory Fitness is known for its signature, science-backed workouts and a range of services that are designed to challenge and motivate.
- Signature Group Workouts: The core of the program is the one-hour, full-body workout that combines cardio and strength training. Participants rotate between treadmills, indoor rowing machines, and a strength training area with a variety of equipment.
- Personalized Heart Rate Training: Using connected technology, members wear a heart rate monitor to track their performance in real-time. The goal is to spend 12 or more minutes in the "Orange Zone" (84-91% of your maximum heart rate) to achieve what is known as the "afterburn" effect.
- Certified Coaching: Every class is led by a certified coach who provides guidance, demos exercises, corrects form, and motivates participants. Coaches, like the highly-praised Coach Jules, are a key part of the experience, ensuring you get a safe and effective workout.
- Various Class Formats: Orangetheory offers different types of workouts, often categorized by their focus on endurance, strength, or power. This ensures variety and allows members to work on different aspects of their fitness.
- Challenges and Benchmarks: The gym hosts various challenges and events throughout the year, such as the Transformation Challenge and the Dri-Tri, providing members with goals to work toward and a way to track their progress.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could give this gym more than five stars, I would. This location is really special.Coaches here don’t just lead workouts—they teach, correct, and motivate. The layout is seamless, the machines are organized, and somehow, even at peak hours, it never feels chaotic. But the real magic? The community. This isn’t just a gym; it’s a place where people show up for each other. The energy is infectious, and you feel it the second you walk in.And then there’s Coach Jules. If you know, you know. She runs a tight, efficient session and never misses a chance to fine-tune your form. She sees you, corrects you, and demos moves until you nail them.Bottom line: If you want a gym that actually engages you—where you’ll be challenged, supported, and inspired—this is the place.
February 15 · Dihua XuI've attended more than 400 classes, and I have loved every one of them! The classes are always challenging but that's what makes it rewarding. Early on, Coach Jules helped me conquer some of my fears by setting new goals each class--since then I have far exceeded my personal expectations. The community at OTF Waltham is warm and supportive and the staff is always attentive and encouraging.
February 11 · Laura WearI LOVE OTF Waltham! I’ve been a loyal member for 2.5 years now, and I’ve never stuck with a workout/gym this long in the past. When I first joined, I was worried that it would feel too “clique-y”, but instead I’ve found a great community! The coaches and staff are so helpful and friendly, and I love that I’ve been able to make new friends with fellow members too. Plus, I get a great, well-rounded workout in, before jumping on the highway to head home after work. It’s a win-win-win!
February 11 · Magali Garcia-PletschI really cannot say enough good things about my experience at OTF Waltham. From day 1 we were welcomed and treated as valued members of the family/community they have fostered. The workouts push me to grow and be better, and the amazing coaches infuse every workout with enthusiasm, encouragement, and an air of celebration. And the admin staff have raised the bar for customer service. From the moment you walk in the door, through walking out you are in for a top-notch experience!
February 15 · John GassI don’t live in the area and travel a lot for work, so have been to studios all over the U.S. This is by far my favorite studio to visit. Jules is an incredible owner and the studio has a great community feel. She remembers my name and where I live even if I don’t come visit for a year or more. Everyone is so nice and they always have community events going on. As a coach, Jules is encouraging and is very accurate in her timing and motivates everyone. I wish I could move to the area permanently just so I could join this community full time!
