July 27 · Diane KingThe picture on the left is hard to look at. Although my value didn’t decrease, my self esteem did. This was from June of 2023. Between 2019 and 2021, I was working out three hours a day with little to no rest and under eating to remain a size 4 and get validated by people who didn’t know telling me about how “fit” I looked. Then I burnt out from working out so much. To top it off, I threw myself into my work, which i love, making it my sole purpose so much that my amazing supervisors were telling me to stop working so much. I ate my feelings away and gained 80lbs in one and a half years. I struggled with walking a half a mile after being able to run a marathon in 2020. I went onto a scale at the doctor’s office and walked off mortified and depressed.Then my oldest friend, Sonal started talking about Orange Theory and I decided to try a class. I walked into the studio at Orangetheory Fitness Douglasville and met the friendly girls behind the counter. Coach Madison Stifflemire was so encouraging in my first class. I had insisted I wasn’t going to run and I found myself running. The members were so friendly, probably due to the endorphins and dopamine from their workout. More important than the weight loss or the running, Orange Theory has encouraged a balanced life style. Taking evening classes forces me to shut down my work computer after 8 hours.Unlike any other fitness journey I have been on when I have cycled with weight gain and weight loss, Orange Theory has stressed that overtraining and under eating is just as detrimental to our health as over eating and not working out. Thank you Heather Malone Mumm, Madison, TJ Moats, Julie, Lizzy Dalrymple, Tim, Ilene, Christian, Allye, and Jersey Jen for being a part of my fitness journey and helping me complete goals that I can actually substain. March 25 · Isabel LialiI wanted to update this review. I've been out of the gym for about 6 months and just came back. It's been a little over 1 week of consistency here and I am already looking and feeling better. I haven't weighed myself but I see how I look in the mirror and it makes me want to keep going. I never regret coming to a class.This gym is soooo good for my mental health! Each coach brings their own version of greatness. Coach Heather is like a tornado of positivity! No matter how groggy or grumpy you feel when you go in, her energy will help you sweat all the negativity away! Coach Julie is the quiet storm. She's not yelling at you but you're still getting your butt kicked, and her Playlist is the best! TJ educates you while he trains you, Tim is blessed with patience, and Cole is kindly motivational. You'll never regret a class here.
July 07 · Dani BirdWow! You know what they say, sometimes you look back and you’re just… filled with gratitude—grateful for God’s unconditional love and grace. When I see the girl in this picture, it’s hard to believe it’s me.Nearly three months ago, I walked into OTF, not knowing anyone, without a single friend by my side. Shortly after joining, I faced a knee injury that sidelined me for a few weeks. Then, life threw another curveball that left me reeling.Despite all of that, I kept showing up, even on the days when it felt impossible. Now, as I look back, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for how healing this place has been for my heart. In the process, I’ve shed 30 pounds and, even better, I’ve found a newfound strength within myself. Oh, and setting personal records along the way has been pretty amazing too. Here’s to many more.If you’re on the fence about joining or if it’s worth the investment… the answer is YESSSS! DO IT. Keep showing up! April 18 · Angie VanegasCoaches, managers, and sales associates have left this place because of how they treat their long-term employees. The cost alone of such an establishment is a ripoff. If you enjoy the workouts you can find them on Reddit for free and not give a dollar to these people.
