Mija Hot Yoga Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For Oregon residents seeking a transformative and invigorating fitness practice, Mija Hot Yoga, nestled in the heart of Portland's St. Johns neighborhood, represents much more than a typical yoga studio. It is a dedicated sanctuary built on the pillars of connectedness, courage, and compassion, offering the powerful healing modality of the Original 26&2 Hot Yoga series—often referred to as Bikram Yoga—in an exceptionally inclusive environment.
Mija Hot Yoga is defined by its deep commitment to its community and its unique identity. Proudly identifying as both a Latino-owned and women-owned business, the studio, founded by Adrianna Audoma, cultivates an atmosphere where "all bodies can practice without fear of judgment." This intentional space welcomes students of all levels and backgrounds, providing a safe, authentic, and warm (both literally and figuratively) environment to facilitate profound physical and mental change. Many dedicated practitioners attest to the practice being a "life changer," reporting significant improvements in strength, health, mental clarity, and an increased capacity for handling the demands of daily life.
The Original 26&2 series, consisting of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, is performed in a heated room. This specific sequence is designed to systematically work every part of the body—strengthening, stretching, and detoxifying the major systems. At Mija, the highly skilled and adept instructors ensure that while the practice is challenging, it remains accessible and welcoming to total beginners. It is a place where you can truly "inhabit a new body" and find an amazing, supportive community with "incredible vibes."

The studio's address is:
7025 N Lombard St Suite 200, Portland, OR 97203, USA
The location on N Lombard Street places it centrally within the St. Johns business district, known for its local flavor and community focus. Accessibility is a key feature for Oregon commuters. The studio provides multiple parking solutions, which is a significant amenity in the Portland area, including a free parking lot, free street parking, and on-site parking. This ease of access removes a common barrier to maintaining a consistent practice. Furthermore, the studio’s dedication to being a welcoming and inclusive space, including identifying as LGBTQ+ friendly and a Transgender safespace, enhances its accessibility far beyond just its physical location, ensuring comfort for all who walk through its doors.
Services Offered
Mija Hot Yoga focuses primarily on the traditional and transformative hot yoga sequence, but also offers services designed for individualized attention and community support.
- The Original 26&2 Hot Yoga (Bikram): The signature group lesson consisting of a set sequence of 26 Hatha postures and two breathing exercises. These 90-minute sessions are suitable for all levels, especially beginners, and are known for their restorative and therapeutic benefits, working to strengthen, tone, and detoxify the body through the added heat.
- Specialized Workshops and Events: The studio frequently hosts pop-up classes and workshops, such as the two-hour Classic 84 Series (exploring all 84 postures of the Bishnu Gosh sequence), providing opportunities for intermediate students to delve deeper into the practice.
- Private and Semi-Private Sessions: Personalized, one-on-one yoga sessions tailored to individual or small group needs, focusing on specific alignment issues, injury rehabilitation, or achieving concrete improvements in the asana practice. These sessions utilize universal principles of biomechanics and neuromuscular re-education.
- Childcare Services: Offered on select days and times to remove a common barrier for parents and caregivers. This allows parents to fully engage in their practice while their children (ages 6 months to 12 years) are cared for by experienced providers on the premises.
- Space Rental: The studio’s beautifully clean and welcoming space is available to rent for external events, photoshoots, or community gatherings.
Features / Highlights
The unique blend of high-quality instruction, community focus, and intentional inclusivity sets Mija Hot Yoga apart in the Oregon wellness scene.

What is Worth Choosing Mija Hot Yoga
For Oregonians considering a hot yoga practice, Mija Hot Yoga should be your first choice because it offers the perfect marriage of a technically sound, challenging practice with a supportive and inclusive community environment. It is one thing to find a clean studio, and another entirely to find a clean studio where the community "feels like family," and the owner is genuinely invested in creating a "refuge" for practitioners.
The 90-minute Original 26&2 sessions are a known modality for healing and total-body transformation. Even for a "total newbie," the consistent sequence allows for measurable progress, making students feel "stronger, healthier, and mentally refreshed." However, the true value lies in the human element. The passion of Adrianna and the entire teaching team ensures that while the heat and postures will challenge you, the warm, authentic energy of the studio will support you. The instructors’ focus on genuine connection, not just on acquiring customers, is what transforms the studio into a life-changing space.
Furthermore, Mija is intentional about breaking down barriers to wellness, seen in their commitment to being a safespace for marginalized communities and the offering of on-site childcare. This level of considered service makes Mija Hot Yoga a profoundly responsible and enriching local business to support. If you are ready for a practice that will "straight up change your life" and find a community that will embrace you, Mija Hot Yoga is the premier destination in Portland.

June 30 · Daysmel Muniz (Dice)I'm a new member to the studio, and I've been very impressed so far. The space is clean and welcoming, and the staff are professional and personable. The Hot Yoga experience is like nothing else I've experienced. I feel stronger, healthier, and mentally refreshed after the 90 minute sessions, which are very welcoming for beginners.
May 26 · Carissa FitzgeraldGo to hot yoga.❤️🔥This is a place where you will be humbled and you will be energized. This is a place to wipe you out and give you tremendous strength. This is a place to sweat and smile. We are so lucky to have a hot yoga studio here in our neighborhood. This woman-owned business is well-cared for, filled with kind people, and is always welcoming, even if you can't make it in for a few weeks.Remember, there are a variety of instructors and there is strength in diversity. Each one supports your growth in different ways. Get to hot yoga and feel your mind, spirit, and body change.
March 29 · JuanNadia CoronadoWhile the studio was clean, friendly, and cute, as a fellow yoga instructor, I cannot recommend the class taught by Jeannie. The teaching style is an out-dated Bikram yoga, and the way the instructor taught was dangerous to students. Please update your instructors to be well informed that everyone’s body, musculoskeletal system, and ability is different. No matter how someone looks, their body can be hiding and holding pain. Encouraging postures in a “one size fits all” modality is out-dated and quite frankly dangerous. Statements like "lock your legs," "stretch or push until it hurts," “you won’t get the full benefit until you do ____” and making personal corrections are inappropriate, especially when a student has already expressed being injured. Yoga teachers should empower students to explore what feels good in their bodies, rather than pressuring them into achieving a specific form of a pose. Find modifications for your students!!! Not everyone can or should bend their spine back, have their toes touch, or try for full extension. I cannot recommend this class and I hope the studio provides teachers with updated training to foster a more inclusive, safe, and body-positive practice for all students.
March 09 · Vanessa GrunewaldI started to take classes as a beginner. There is no need to be intimidated even as a beginner. Students are in different skill levels and you just need to focus on yourself. If there is any question, instructors take time to help you. The studio is very clean and welcome atmosphere!
