★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was nervous about attending a workshop with my daughter since I don’t practice yoga regularly. Amit was welcoming, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable. He conveys and follows the true principles of yoga. Other instructors were there, as Amit is a respected mentor. His studio is clean, calming and well-equipped. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, would benefit from his excellent instruction!
May 14 · Kathi TorresI want to say thank you to Amit and all the teachers at MC Yoga. I've been going for a few months now and I look forward to it every time. The studio is a welcoming and peaceful environment. I've observed there to be a wide range of experience in the students, but it always feels like a cohesive session for a beginner like me. One of my favorite aspects of Amit's technique is that he demonstrates a deep knowledge of how each posture relates to the body as a whole. I already feel so much better than before I started...I highly recommend this place!
April 07 · M FusionAmit has a magical way about him. His understanding of yoga is thorough and profound. He is a gracious and generous instructor who provides a highly personalized experience in a class setting. He makes excellent corrections without overwhelming you, creating the space for you to develop your own yoga experience while keeping a watchful eye. The classes are at once energizing and relaxing. Highly recommended.
October 12 · Rachel VogelI've been taking classes regularly at Magic Carpet Yoga for the past two months and I can confidently say that this studio is the best place to learn yoga in LA. Amit, the owner and instructor, has extensive knowledge of yoga and provides detailed instructions on how to perform each posture, while also being able to adjust the practice to suit all levels of experience. Unlike other studios that claim to cater to all levels, Amit and his team actually follow through on that promise. The atmosphere at Magic Carpet Yoga is welcoming and inclusive, making it the perfect environment for deepening your yoga practice. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to experience the true benefits of yoga in a supportive and encouraging environment.
April 07 · Or OrenI have been regularly practicing at Magic Carpet Yoga for more than 6 months now, about 2x/week going to mainly Hatha, Yin, and Restorative classes. I started my practice to supplement weightlifting and to help with a chronic knee condition and improve my overall health and flexibility. I have achieved all of these things and so much more thanks to the deep knowledge and compassion of Amit, Kelly, Dani, Emily, and all of the other instructors that I have had the pleasure of learning from. In years past I have been to some of the big yoga studios in LA and always felt lost in the crowd and frustrated as a beginner not knowing how to do the poses correctly. At MCY I receive personal attention in each class and truly feel a part of the wonderful community there. I recommend MCY to everyone and anyone from beginners curious about yoga to those with hundreds of hours practicing.
