Hot Yoga Plus Daly City Introduce
For residents of California seeking a transformative wellness experience, Hot Yoga Plus in Daly City offers a sanctuary where you can challenge your body, calm your mind, and connect with a supportive community. This isn't just a yoga studio; it's a dedicated space for personal growth and physical empowerment. As a women-owned, Latino-owned, and veteran-owned business, Hot Yoga Plus stands out with a unique sense of mission and inclusivity, creating a welcoming and inviting environment for people of all backgrounds and fitness levels. This article will provide a comprehensive overview of what makes this studio a premier destination for your yoga and Pilates journey, from its specialized classes to its knowledgeable instructors and community-focused ethos.
The philosophy at Hot Yoga Plus is built on the belief that a regular practice of yoga and Pilates can lead to profound physical and mental benefits. The studio is particularly known for its heated classes, which are designed to help you improve flexibility, build strength, and detoxify your body. The intense heat, while challenging at first, becomes a key component of the practice, allowing for deeper stretches and a more invigorating workout. As one client shared, what initially felt too long and difficult—a 90-minute class—now "flies by," a testament to the transformative nature of the practice and the welcoming environment. The studio's commitment to creating a safe and clean space is also evident, with a focus on hygiene and maintenance that ensures a pleasant experience for everyone.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Hot Yoga Plus is its team of dedicated and talented instructors. While all teachers follow a structured sequence of postures, each brings their own unique "flare" and passion to the class. This variety keeps the practice fresh and engaging. Instructors like KJ are celebrated for their ability to encourage a "beginner's mindset," helping students focus on the details of their posture rather than just mindlessly going through the motions. Jennifer, a retired engineer, is adored for her "no nonsense" yet humane approach, providing clear and direct instruction that is especially generous to beginners. Harry Y is praised for his consistent and steady pacing, which can be invigorating for experienced students. This diversity in teaching styles ensures that every student can find an instructor who resonates with them, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable. The instructors' passion is contagious, inspiring students to push their hardest and discover something new in every session.
For individuals in California who are looking for a studio that is not only professionally run but also genuinely caring and inclusive, Hot Yoga Plus is an excellent choice. The studio's welcoming nature is a constant theme in customer reviews, making it a place where you can feel at ease and supported from day one. The studio is well-maintained, with a large yoga room that features hardwood floors and a consistent cleaning process to ensure a fresh, odor-free environment. While one client noted a minor gripe about the lack of a water fountain, they also pointed out that the tap water is fine and the studio sells bottled water for convenience, a minor detail that does not detract from the overall positive experience. The commitment to a positive and supportive community is a core value, with clients recommending the studio not just for its classes, but for the great people they've met along the way.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love coming to this studio! The instructors here are really great at what they do and always push you to try your hardest. If you're looking to challenge yourself, I would recommend taking one of their hot mat pilates classes. It's easy to sign up for classes as they have plenty and I have met some great people here. Highly, highly recommend this studio!
June 26 · Indra RI started my yoga practice about 5 months ago and what an amazing journey it’s been so far. I went to this studio on a whim and I found them to be very welcoming and inviting. When I first started I thought it was too long and had a hard time staying in the room but now 90 minutes fly by. Here’s my impression so farStudio Building:It’s clean, albeit a little lovingly worn but it is kept up well. The men’s locker room has two showers so sometimes there is a line but it moves quickly. Plenty of storage space and lock boxes available for free. The yoga room itself is large and has hardwood floors (which is way better than carpet I’ve seen in other studios). After every class the floor is sprayed and whipped down so there is no odor which I really appreciate. The heaters are very effective at keeping the temperature up but they can be a bit loud. The buzzing has become white noise at this point.Instructors:Every instructor/teacher will run through the same 26 postures and breathing exercises but each has their own flare. Here are a couple of my favorites in no particular order.KJ - An absolutely fabulous soul that I would like to see more on the schedule. She always says “have a beginners mindset” to encourage folks to examine their posture rather than mindlessly going through the motions. She has a knack for articulating specific granular movements that make your postures better. She unlocks something new in me in every session. KJ is effervescent in her approach and her passion is contagious.Jennifer- I adore Jennifer because she is a “no nonsense” kind of instructor. A retired engineer, she has a very clear and direct approach. Analytical while still remaining humane, very generous to beginners and a solid teacher.Harry Y - like a human metronome, he has the most consistent pacing. He moves through the postures with a steady and persistent flow. As a beginner his class whipped me out but now with a little more experience I get invigorated leaving his class.Mika - great instructor that helps with adjustments as necessary. My only gripe with the studio is that they don’t have a water fountain. Tap water in Daly City is not bad so you can use the sink in the locker room but it would be nice if they had a proper water fountain. They sell plastic water bottles as well but I’m a proponent of reducing single use items.
June 30 · Vartan AzizianAs someone not local, this studio can be a waste of time and money if you are not warned about their policy. They are not understanding of you not being able to find parking. This neighborhood is full of cars, you'll ended having to hunt for parking for a while if you don't know where to park. Arrived on the hour of the class after parking blocks away to see a warning about arriving 30 minutes early. Expecting a customer to give that 30 minutes plus time it takes to travel to the studio, and time to find parking is ridiculous. If you don't live around the area expect to give up at least an hour of your time before the class even begins to not be locked out without a refund they will hold the payment for a following session, but if you are only visiting, good luck. This was more stress inducing than it needs to be and just ruins the mood of the day if the session booked is in the morning.
February 21 · Spacey DingusGreat yoga studio! The schedule is abundant (there are lots of classes throughout the day during the entire week, much better than most other studios I've been to). The instructors are very good and the owner is very nice and reasonable. The showers/changing area is a bit tight; this could be remedied by having a row of open showers (as opposed to thick wall dividers in between) and knocking down the wall between the sinks and the changing cubes, making for a more open layout.
March 11 · Jesus Galaz-MontoyaI really love this place, especially after the renovation. The rooms are much cleaner, and the instructors are friendly and welcoming. I particularly enjoy Akiko and Kai’s Inferno Pilates and Hot Pilates classes. KJ is also very friendly, and I like attending her Bikram Yoga sessions. I would prefer if the yoga classes were shortened to one hour instead of 1.5 hours, and it would be great if more Pilates classes could be scheduled. I highly recommend this place.
