Hot 8 Yoga Introduce
Welcome to Hot 8 Yoga, a leading hot yoga studio located at 248 Sutter Street in the bustling heart of San Francisco, California. For residents and visitors of the Bay Area, finding a yoga studio that provides a truly immersive and challenging experience can be a game-changer for your fitness journey. We are a premier destination for those who want to take their practice to the next level, offering a variety of classes designed to build strength, increase flexibility, and promote a deep sense of well-being.
At Hot 8 Yoga, we are famous for our "notoriously hot" classes, with temperatures that are even warmer than other popular hot yoga chains like Core Power Yoga. As one customer noted, the studio is "HOT," and it may take a few classes to get "acclimated to the temperature." But for those who embrace the heat, the benefits are immense. This intense heat is designed to help you detoxify and deepen your stretches, making your workout more effective and invigorating. The classes are dynamic and challenging, with a real focus on pushing your limits in a safe and supportive environment. This is a place where you will "leave their class sweaty and feeling strong."
Our studio is not just about the heat; it's about the energy and the community. We are a place where people can "feel renewed" and find a "superpower" through their practice. Whether you are a local or just "in town for Dead and Co shows" like one visitor, you will find a "very welcoming place" with "POWERHOUSES" for instructors who are both motivational and dedicated. The variety in our classes and the talent of our teachers, like Mel P and Danielle L, ensure that every session is a unique and rewarding experience.
Hot 8 Yoga is centrally located at 248 Sutter St, San Francisco, CA 94108, USA. This prime spot in the Financial District makes us easily accessible for anyone working or living in downtown San Francisco. Our location is also convenient for those who are visiting the city and are looking for a place to maintain their fitness routine.
The studio's urban location is well-served by public transportation, including nearby BART and Muni stations, making it a convenient destination for your yoga practice. For those who walk to the studio, the vibrant surrounding area offers a pleasant journey. The central location is a significant benefit, as a visiting customer mentioned they would "look to book a hotel within walking distance to this studio" on a return trip, highlighting just how convenient our spot is.
Hot Power Fusion: This is a set series class that combines the traditional 26 & 2 sequence with dynamic Power Yoga styles. It is a shoulder and wrist-friendly class that includes balancing, core work, and hip openers, and is accompanied by music for a mindful and detoxifying experience.
Yoga Sculpt: This high-intensity, breath-to-movement class combines free weights with yoga and cardio to increase stamina and strength. As noted by a customer, these are the "best classes to take" for a total body workout that is both challenging and fun.
26 & 2: A 90-minute class with a set sequence of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, performed twice. This class is conducted without music and focuses on discipline, structure, and proper alignment for a deep, meditative practice.
Yin Yoga: A slow-moving class that uses long-held postures to target connective tissues. It is a perfect complement to more active classes and is suitable for all levels, including those recovering from injury.
Power Yoga: An intermediate Vinyasa-style class that guides students through more advanced postures and creative sequencing. This class links breath to movement and may include arm-balances and inversions.
Teacher Training: For those looking to deepen their practice, we also offer Yoga Teacher Trainings to help you grow your knowledge and skills.
High-Intensity Hot Classes: Our studios are purposefully heated to high temperatures (105-110 degrees) to maximize your workout, improve flexibility, and encourage detoxification, as noted by numerous customer reviews.
Expert and Motivational Instructors: Our teachers are known for being "POWERHOUSES" with different teaching styles, providing excellent guidance and motivation. Customers specifically mention Mel P and Danielle L as favorites.
Luxury Amenities: The studio provides a range of amenities to enhance your experience. After class, you can enjoy "cold eucalyptus towels" to cool down and a "salt shot station to hydrate and replenish your electrolytes."
Clean and Well-Maintained: The studio is described as a "great studio" that is clean and well-maintained, providing a pleasant and hygienic environment for your practice.
Variety of Classes: With a diverse class schedule that includes Yoga Sculpt, Hot Power Fusion, Yin, and more, you can explore different styles and keep your routine fresh and engaging.
Inclusive and Welcoming Atmosphere: Despite the challenging nature of the classes, the studio maintains a "very welcoming place" where people of all levels can feel comfortable and supported, as a visiting customer from Indiana discovered.

Hot 8 Yoga Reviews
Great studio for hot yoga sculpt classes! A warning that these studios are HOT. If you are used to a Core Power Yoga… it’s even warmer than that. Lots of people leaving throughout class to take breaks but I found the more classes I took, the more acclimated I became to the temperature. The best classes to take are the sculpt. Hot Power Fusion is more like a basic yoga class. My fave teachers were Mel P who usually teaches weekday mornings at 7am and Danielle L who teaches Saturday morning. Both so different in teaching styles but both POWERHOUSES, motivational and you will leave their class sweaty and feeling strong. The studio also has cold eucalyptus towels and a salt shot station to hydrate and replenish your electrolytes after class. Pricey studio but worth it!
May 07 · Hailey LewisLoved this studio! Was in town for Dead and Co shows desperately needed this with all the standing and walking over 3 days. I did the Hot Power Fusion as I normally do Hot 26. Very welcoming place and if I visit SF again would look to book a hotel within walking distance to this studio. Visiting from New Albany Indiana
