For any Oregon resident considering a new gym, Hardstyle Strength is a choice that is truly worth making for several compelling reasons. Unlike many gyms that focus on volume and a high-energy, but sometimes chaotic, environment, Hardstyle Strength provides a calm and focused atmosphere where technique is paramount. The high qualifications of the trainers, who are described as "next-level" by members, ensure that your training is not just effective but also safe. This is particularly important for strength training, where improper form can easily lead to injury. The gym’s specific focus on kettlebells is a significant advantage for those looking for a dynamic and varied strength training activity. The measurable growth and results that members experience in a short amount of time—as noted in a review—are a testament to the effectiveness of their methods. The welcoming and non-intimidating vibe makes it an excellent option for beginners, while the detailed coaching keeps even experienced lifters engaged and improving. For those in Portland looking for a gym that is a "school of strength" rather than just a place to work out, where you can build both physical strength and mental discipline, Hardstyle Strength is the clear and superior choice. The focus on quality, safety, and a highly skilled experience makes it a gym that truly stands out in the local fitness scene.

Hardstyle Strength Reviews
I love this place. The trainers are highly qualified and the focus is on technique and building strength safely. I've done kettlebell work for over ten years and my strength has grown measurably over the past three months. Kettlebell is my favorite strength training activity for how dynamic and varied the exercises can be. It's fantastic to find a gym that really does it right.
September 01 · Deborah Sale-ButlerI dropped in for the Kettlebell Foundations classes, and I’ll admit, I was a little intimidated at first. That feeling disappeared quickly. The staff here is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and honestly exceptional at what they do.I came in with a solid understanding of general lifting technique, but Paris, Teal, and Ben were able to spot subtle flaws I didn’t even realize I had and coach me through them. The level of attention to detail in every class is next-level.Huge thanks to the team for such a welcoming and skillful experience! I look forward to coming back every time I'm back in Portland!
July 25 · Christopher JackI’m glad this facility works out for those attending. Happy for them! Although I’m saddened on how they treat their community members and neighbors. When i called i got a “HARDSTYLE.” Please do better and maintain a higher standard of professionalism. Makes me wonder if this behavior deters folks.
April 12 · Marco MatiasI'm honestly so obsessed with this gym. I have tried multiple gyms, as someone primarily interested in strength training, and this is my favorite so far. There's a real sense of community. The coaches, like Paris and Teal, are not only friendly and playful, but excellent teachers who care about form and safety. And on a day that I was doing my own thing, Coach Scott - not yet having worked with me - noticed that I was celebrating a PR and encouraged me to ring the bell! Things like that make me feel respected and welcome.I pay for monthly membership, which includes kettlebell classes and open access to the gym. I'm new to kettlebell and the coaches keep it challenging but approachable. I love getting personalized feedback during group classes and chatting with the other students. The gym has all the equipment you need to build big muscles, plus some fun stuff I haven't found elsewhere. (If they added barbarian classes so I could play with the weighted mace bells in a supervised environment, that would be pretty cool. Just saying.) I feel fairly certain that I'll try personal training at some point.I started going when they were on Powell, and the recent move to 36th and Division has been awesome for me. It's walkable, bright and cheery, and I think they make great use of the space.Highly recommend.(FWIW, I am a short, fat, queer woman in her 30s and I feel safe and happy in this space. There's no weird messaging on the walls about weight loss or toxic hustle culture stuff. I have lifting experience but I'm not an expert. Come join me!)
January 04 · InnessGreat gym with passionate and knowledgable instructors. Friendly atmosphere and culture. Clean facilities and good equipment.I took classes with both Paris and Liz; they were both attentive and dialed instructors who really knew how to coach so you can get your technique right and understand why.
