I instantly connected with Green Mountain Ashtanga because of Sara’s holistic focus on all of the aspects of yoga (the “8 limbs” of Ashtanga which go beyond the physical poses alone). As we twist ourselves into pretzels, it’s really about mental and emotional regulation through controlling the mind and the breath. Sara is incredibly knowledgeable. The Mysore style class provides private, personalized instruction within a group setting unlike most “modern” yoga classes. I am refining my practice in ways I never imagined, while getting stronger and healthier, and connecting with like-minded folks in community. I highly recommend Green Mountain Ashtanga to everyone, whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner.

If you want to explore yoga beyond asana, Sara offers the opportunity to dive deeper into the other limbs of yoga. I highly recommend any intensives that are offered (intro to ashtanga was amazing). The studio fosters a community, which has been awesome to get to know other students and make friends. Mysore is great for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. I can't wait until my next practice here :)
