Based on feedback from real customers, the member experience at Fitness Xpress in Cheshire has been mixed. Some reviews highlight significant concerns about the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility. One reviewer described a terrible smell, dirty equipment with a "vile smell," and the need to wash their hands multiple times due to a "sweat and sticky residue." They also mentioned that the mats were unusable and that the machines were outdated, with rips in the benches and gauged rubber on the weights. These comments point to a need for more diligent upkeep and investment in the facility's equipment. Another review humorously but pointedly described the gym as smelling "like wet socks" and having equipment "older than your childhood trauma," with "mystery grime that clearly predates the pandemic." A serious safety concern was also raised, with a photo showing a screwdriver being used to hold a machine together. The gym owner’s apparent lack of care for maintenance was a central theme in this feedback. These reviews suggest that while the gym may offer the basic services, the overall environment and condition of the facility may be a significant drawback for potential members. It is important for a gym to provide a clean and safe space, and these customer experiences indicate that these aspects are in need of attention at this location. While every gym has its challenges, this feedback offers valuable insight for anyone considering a membership.

While the gym offers a range of services designed to help members achieve their fitness goals, the reviews provide a contrasting perspective on the quality of these services and the overall environment. The reviews mention that the equipment is outdated and dirty, and that there are safety hazards, such as a machine held together by a screwdriver. They also highlight issues with cleanliness, including a terrible smell and grime on the equipment. These points suggest that while the gym offers personal training and a variety of equipment for resistance and strength training, the condition of the facility may not meet the expectations of all members. The reviews about the gym’s state paint a picture of a space that is not well-maintained, which can be a significant deterrent. For those looking for a premium or well-kept environment, the experiences shared by these customers may be a cause for concern. It's clear that there is a disconnect between the offered services and the condition of the facility, which can greatly impact a member's motivation and safety. Therefore, while the gym provides essential training options, the overall quality of the physical space appears to be a major point of contention among some of its users.
For those in Connecticut, choosing a gym is a highly personal decision. When considering Fitness Xpress in Cheshire, it's important to weigh the provided information, including both the stated services and the feedback from real customers. On one hand, the gym offers fundamental services like personal training and has a focus on strength and resistance training, which is ideal for those who prefer a straightforward workout regimen. The location is convenient, and the gym has made efforts to be accessible with wheelchair-friendly features. The availability of modern payment methods is also a plus. However, the customer reviews raise serious questions about the gym's cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance. The descriptions of a foul smell, dirty equipment, and a reported safety hazard from a machine held together by a screwdriver are significant drawbacks. These issues could not only affect the overall experience but also pose health and safety risks. In an area with multiple fitness options, these concerns are crucial to consider. If a clean, well-maintained, and safe environment is a top priority for you, it would be wise to take the provided feedback into careful consideration and perhaps visit the location in person before committing to a membership. While the gym may suit some individuals who prioritize a no-frills environment and can overlook these issues, for the average user, the negative reviews suggest that there might be better-maintained alternatives available that offer a more pleasant and secure fitness experience. Ultimately, the worth of choosing this gym depends heavily on your personal tolerance for the reported conditions and your specific fitness needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been attending this gym for a few months now and honestly, it hasn't been the best experience. The gym smells terrible and a lot of the equipment gives off a vile smell. I have to wash my hands multiple times during my workouts because of the sweat and sticky residue stuck to the equipment. I don't even use the mats anymore because they look and smell nasty. The machines are outdated and dirty. You'll find rips in the bench seats, and rubber gauged out of the weights. The lights are layered in dust. I included photos of the pile of ants in one of the bathrooms (that were still there days after I reported seeing them previously), and a screwdriver being used to hold a machine together, which is a safety hazard. It doesn't seem like the owner cares about maintaining the space.
July 28 · ebetteriniIf you’re looking for a gym that smells like wet socks, has equipment older than your childhood trauma, and paint flaking off like it’s molting—welcome to your nightmare.Machines are so outdated they probably count as historical artifacts and hook ups to iPhone 3. Half the treadmills sound like a haunted house, and the dumbbells have mystery grime that clearly predates the pandemic. Oh, and the dirt on the leg press? Apparently no one thinks shoes should stay on the floor.I signed up thinking I’d get in shape—not that my immune system would be doing deadlifts just to survive.Do yourself a favor and walk past this place. Or at least bring a hazmat suit and a tetanus booster.

August 21 · Muhammad Abdus SamiI have been to many gyms all around the state. I joined in June and this already has quickly become my favorite gym so far. 24 hour access is just so amazing I cannot understate it. I love that I don't feel pressured into rushing to get my workout under someone else's schedule. The gym is clean. I think disinfecting wipe dispensers would be a better option than the spray bottles and paper towels they offer though. There is a staff that cleans the gym and it does not smell like another reviewer claimed it did. Almost everyone is polite and respectful. This is my new main gym. It's a little small, but I would rather have a smaller gym that's great than a larger gym that's terrible. I also have not experienced any machines being broken or not working correctly. So far 10/10 for me. And I am a tough critic. I will update my review if things change, but I know they will only improve.
July 12 · Aria KennedyScammy with their contracts, rude, offer no advantage over other gyms, and charge a premium for the pleasure of it all. Don’t waste your time here.
