★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Joined this gym two weeks ago and already started to experience inconveniences. Today, 8/13 I was at the gym trying to take shower and there was no hot water! I had to shower with cold water! The steam room wasn’t operating because of no hot water, too. By the time I received an email about the issue, I was already at the gym. Last week there was no air conditioning in this hot weather. Others shared that issues with the air conditioning were for consistent two weeks. So disappointing!! Do your regular inspections to prevent these issues.
August 13 · Belguzar KorelI've been a member at this Equinox since 2019. The only reason I'm leaving is because I'm moving, and I'm so sad about it! Everyone is so kind, from the front desk staff and maintenance crew to the class instructors and trainers. I trained with Chris Manous, and I can't recommend him enough! He is so knowledgable, welcoming, and fun to train with. I looked forward to my sessions every week, and I've gotten stronger and learned so much. He really tailors the sessions to your goals and is a great motivator. My favorite class instructor is Michael Gilbert. He teaches cycle and he is the best! Every class is a blast, and he makes everyone feel seen and welcomed. His classes are always full, and there's good reason for that! If you're looking for a gym with great amenities, awesome staff, and where you can find community, Equinox is worth checking out.
August 07 · Taylor ShumanGym Review SummaryPositive Points:1. Cleanliness and Atmosphere• The gym is clean and smells nice.• Majority of members are polite and respectful.2. Friendly Staff• Most of the staff are nice and helpful.3. Convenient Location• Located next to Google and other dining places.Negative Points:1. Operating Hours• Closes at 9 pm on weekdays and 5 pm on weekends – considered lazy for a high-end gym.2. Equipment Issues• Machines are old and rusty.• Machines are not lubricated properly.3. Pool and Spa Issues• Pool is outside – members have to walk through the gym while wet.• No jacuzzi and pool is not deep enough.• No sauna – other Equinox gyms have saunas.4. Steam Room Problems• Non-members enter steam room in dirty, smelly clothes – needs security to prevent this.• Some members wear shoes or clothes in the steam room, creating an unsanitary environment.5. Weird or Problematic Members• Example: A man in grey sweatpants tucked into socks and a yellow shirt leaves smelly food in the locker room and offers open Gatorade to others – suspicious behavior.• Some members stalk others or make inappropriate comments in the locker rooms – potential harassment issue.6. Rude Receptionist• One receptionist (described as short, Asian, and buff) is rude and negative.7. Safety Concerns Outside Gym• Street next to the gym feels unsafe due to the presence of homeless people – issue with city governance, not the gym itself.Suggestions for Improvement:• Extend operating hours.• Upgrade and maintain gym machines.• Add a jacuzzi and sauna.• Improve steam room security – consider adding a buff security guard.• Address member misconduct and inappropriate behavior.• Train or replace the rude receptionist.
March 07 · DionysiosWalked in after a 10-hr day of financial modeling and arguing with investors just to be greeted with - “do you work on a golf course.” Kudos to the front desk staff who happened to be working on 8/26/25 at 6:07 PM - she really woke my sleep-deprived body up at this time of day for the first time in my life, to the extent which I felt reborn. The question was piercing of its own nature, providing more shock waves through my brain and pressure to my bloodstream than a pack of 12-mg LUCY wintergreens. More stimulating than a ‘pls fix thx - sent from my iPhone’ email on a Sunday afternoon. The rest of the conversation was nothing short of exciting, ending with the cherry on top: “enjoy your workout.” Thank you, I no longer need my music. Now I can happily enjoy my extended work out after a long day of ~ aerating greens and raking bunkers ~ if you insist. The broken AC in the locker room last week and the day without hot water didn’t even prompt me to leave this review, but this eye-opening question truly did, and it will most likely keep me awake tonight. As an optimist, I plan to use this adrenaline as I return to the office later and log back on.
August 26 · Yifei YuLack of varieties classes at good times- in early morning or evenings cardio dance, Pilates, barre, any hot yoga, hit classes weekdays. They charge too much for personal training and reformer Pilates. Other studios like club studio has reformer classes that comes with the regular membership. Classes are just cancelled without notice if only few people signed up. Which is not cool if I come from 10 miles away to attend these classes. Even 1-2 person signed up they should hold classes. Weekend classes get pretty crowded since mostly in mornings, they should add more classes in the afternoons and evenings also. They also should have more classes at 7 or 8 pm and open later hours like closing at 9 or 10. The equipments used in classes are not enough or just gross and old. They don’t clean those weights, sticks, belts, blocks, rings, balloons, etc …equipments. They said when I enrolled last summer that they are going to upgrade the locker rooms to digital locks around end of the year 2023. Now we still have to bring our own locks. I feel I’m paying too much monthly now it’s not worth it, and just switch to regular gym like 24 hrs paying $50 a month and I can even bring guests for classesall the time more than 3-5 times a year.Pros- they do keep locker rooms pretty clean, they staff are friendly and the coaches and class teachers are very friendly and good. Classes are good and fun.
