The philosophy at Buckeye Gymnastics is built on the core belief that physical activity is fun and that every child has the potential to succeed. As one of the largest and most successful gymnastics programs in Central Ohio, the center has a long-standing reputation for providing excellent instruction in an encouraging atmosphere. The staff is extensively trained to provide professional instruction that is both expert and child-centered. They focus on teaching discipline and proper technique in a way that is not harsh, but rather supportive and patient. As a customer review notes, coaches speak to the children "like big kids" and use proper gymnastics terms, which instills a sense of respect and seriousness while still making the learning process enjoyable. The center's mission is to develop talent and abilities, support the dreams of athletes, and prepare children for a lifetime of physical activity by instilling a belief that they can succeed if they try.
Location and accessibility are key for any family-oriented sports complex. Buckeye Gymnastics offers a vast array of services, catering to a wide range of ages and interests.
Gymnastics Programs: The core offering includes a comprehensive curriculum for various skill levels. This includes Preschool Gymnastics, Recreational Gymnastics, School Age Gymnastics, and specialized programs like "Rolling Stars" and "Buckeye Warriors." The classes are broken down into narrow age ranges (e.g., 4.5-5 years old, 5-5.5 years old) to ensure skill levels are closely matched, which as one review points out, leads to better progress.
Cheerleading and Tumbling: For those interested in cheer, the center offers a variety of cheer classes, cheerleading training, and a recreational cheerleading program. Additionally, there are dedicated tumbling and trampoline classes for individuals who want to focus on these specific skills.
Special Events and Camps: Buckeye Gymnastics is a popular destination for more than just weekly classes. They host birthday parties for children, which are a huge hit with local families. They also offer special events like holiday camps and summer day camps, providing a fun and active option for kids during school breaks.
Flexible Class Options: The center understands that life can be unpredictable. To accommodate this, they offer makeup classes, allowing members to reschedule a missed session. This flexibility is a great benefit for busy families.
These extensive services demonstrate the center’s commitment to providing a wide range of opportunities for children to learn and grow.
Several key features and highlights make Buckeye Gymnastics a top choice for families in the Ohio region.
Professional and Patient Coaching: The high quality of coaching is a major highlight. Coaches instill discipline and teach proper terminology in an encouraging and patient manner. One customer review beautifully illustrates this with an example of a coach modifying a skill to help a child overcome her fear, which ultimately led to success.
Structured Age and Skill Levels: The refined age ranges for classes ensure that children are placed with peers of similar skill sets. This promotes a more effective learning environment and allows for more personalized instruction.
Good for Kids: This is a key feature that emphasizes the center’s child-friendly focus. From the birthday parties to the camps, the entire facility is designed to be a safe, fun, and educational space for children.
Accessibility: The wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, and restroom are a testament to the center’s inclusive nature. It ensures that all families, regardless of physical ability, have access to their services.
Variety of Programs: The wide array of programs, from gymnastics to cheerleading and tumbling, means that children can explore different interests all under one roof. This versatility is a major benefit for families with multiple children or those unsure of which sport to pursue.
These features collectively make Buckeye Gymnastics a premier destination for youth sports and recreation.

Here are some reviews from real customers
We recently switched to Buckeye from another local competitor. Our primary reason was due to availability, but it's proven to be a wise & great decision so far. Our daughter, who's just shy of 5, has already progressed so much since being at Buckeye. They speak to them like big kids, use proper gymnastics terms with them, & the discipline they instill is helpful in all aspects (though it's not harsh by any means). They took them to the big gym at the end of one class & let them use the rings over the foam pit. My daughter was terrified due to the height, so they modified it initially to make her more comfortable. Once she was, she moved on to doing it the "right" way - their patience with her really paid off! One thing I really like about them, versus where we used to be, the age ranges for classes are much better. Instead of a 4-5y/o class, its 4.5-5, 5-5.5, so on. I think this keeps skill levels much closer & more appropriate & it also allows for better class availability. Happy to be here!
I've taken my two children to Buckeye Gymnastics off and on for over a year. We loved everything about it and could see their confidence explode as they continued on in the classes. Now, a while after taking classes, they still can recite the 'popcorn' trampoline rhyme that was in every class. :) My only complaint is that the teacher turnover seemed to be high, but comparable to other gymnastics locations that we had been to in the area.
For families in the Ohio region, choosing Buckeye Gymnastics is a decision that extends far beyond a typical sports class. What makes it truly worth choosing is its holistic approach to child development. The center is not just about teaching gymnastics skills; it’s about building confidence, discipline, and a love for physical activity that will last a lifetime. The personalized approach to coaching, as seen in the reviews, where instructors patiently work with a child to overcome their fears, is a testament to the quality of the program. The meticulous age and skill grouping of classes ensures that every child is placed in an environment where they can thrive and make meaningful progress. While a customer review mentioned high teacher turnover, it also highlights that this is a common issue in the industry and that the quality of the experience remains high. The wide array of offerings, from birthday parties to holiday camps, makes it a convenient and fun hub for all of a child’s athletic and social needs. By choosing Buckeye Gymnastics, you are investing in a proven program that is dedicated to helping your child succeed both in and out of the gym.

November 19 · Scott PeacheyThank you so much to all the staff at Buckeye Gymnastics. I recently started taking my daughter here and she absolutely loves it. I definitely recommend this to anybody that is interested in this sport. The staff are wonderful. I seriously cannot thank you enough and I am so grateful that I found Buckeye Gymnastics.
February 23 · Ticia cunninghamI’m impressed with the level of actual gymnastics they teach such young kids. Even in the 4-5 year old class the kids learn cart wheels and prep for back hand springs, hand stands, etc. I can see why Olympians like Gabby Douglas chose Buckeye Gymnastics as her team. Best of all is simply seeing these kids have fun while learning real gymnastics!
January 06 · Lisa LThis is one of the most mismanaged organizations around with serious communication issues. Their Tumble for Cheer class series could truly benefit competitive and school cheerleaders in the area but alas, if you are not "in" their group (on THEIR cheer team) you may as well not bother. On two separate occasions in the span of 2 months they rescheduled our class and forgot to call us and save us the 40 minute drive. Getting a coach to return a call or reply to an email is an act God. This could be a really cool resource for the community if they could figure out how to talk to people effectively.
