★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wow! I'm going to review the whole entire Pier 2. Because this is a really cool pier as a whole. It's entirely geared towards sports and other physical activities. There's a good sized green field, 10 basketball courts, the calisthenic spot pictured above, a roller skate rink, a pickleball/tennis field, a swing set for kids and a maybe some other stuff I am forgetting. So if you want to partake in multiple activities they are all within reach of each other. To top it all off, you just can't beat the Manhattan skyline in the background of it all! And the best part? ITS FREE!! It's truly amazing that something like this exist for the public.
November 11 · Dan ZenaTwo normal pull up bars. One 7 feet tall and thinner diameter and wide. One 5ft 5in tall and thicker diameter and less wide. Two parallel bars of moderate thickness. That’s the only ones I use. There are other pull up bars and equipment too. I wish they had lower pull up bars with more clearance and no other equipment around them. All in all a relatively good outdoor calisthenics set up compared to what’s around here.
June 15 · David XiaOpen in summer 2023. There are also swings at the very end of the pier, covered under the roof structure. No baby swings, only adult swings and adapted ones.
July 25 · AllanahThis park contains gym equipment, 10 basketball courts, 4 tennis courts, a swing set, a soccer pitch and a roller rink. There is also many restrooms located here as well as water fountains.
