Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics Introduce
In the heart of Marietta, Georgia, Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics stands as a prominent gymnastics and recreation center dedicated to providing a dynamic and enriching experience for children of all ages and skill levels. While it may be categorized as a sports complex, its specialization lies squarely in the world of gymnastics, offering a comprehensive suite of programs that cater to everyone from toddlers taking their first steps on a mat to elite athletes training for high-level competition. The array of services, from beginner classes to advanced competitive team training, ensures that every child can find a program that fits their individual needs and aspirations. The facility’s commitment to providing a supportive and encouraging environment is a key part of its appeal. As one customer review enthusiastically states, it feels like "part of a family there," highlighting the warm and welcoming atmosphere that is a hallmark of the gym. For parents in the East Cobb area and beyond, this sense of community and family-like support is just as important as the quality of the training itself. The gym offers a pathway for growth, allowing young gymnasts to progress from foundational skills to advanced techniques, with visible and exciting development over time. The gym's reputation is built on its ability to nurture talent and foster a love for the sport, helping young athletes not only improve their skills but also gain a deeper appreciation for hard work and dedication. However, it's worth noting that the experience can vary, as illustrated by a contrasting review. The provided feedback suggests that while the gym excels with older, competitive athletes, some may find the experience with younger children to be less structured and more challenging due to class sizes and instructor energy. This highlights the importance of finding the right program fit for your child's age and needs. The diverse offerings, from recreational classes to private lessons and even birthday parties, make it a versatile hub for children's activities in the community. Whether your child is looking for a fun after-school activity or a serious path toward competitive gymnastics, Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics aims to provide a program that can accommodate their journey. It is a place where every child has the potential to shine, and the gym works to create an environment where that potential can be realized. What is worth choosing Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics?
For families in the Marietta area, choosing Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics can be a highly rewarding experience, particularly for those with children interested in competitive gymnastics. The gym has a proven track record of helping young athletes grow and develop their skills, as evidenced by a parent's glowing review of their daughters' remarkable progression from beginner levels to high-level competition. This success is a testament to the quality of the training and the dedication of the coaching staff, who are instrumental in guiding young gymnasts through their journey. The "family" atmosphere, which is a key highlight for many, creates a supportive and motivating environment where kids can feel a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie. This sense of community is crucial for keeping young athletes engaged and committed to their training. The gym also offers a vast array of programs, from preschool classes to advanced training and specialty camps, ensuring that there is a place for every child, no matter their age or skill level. The birthday party option is another unique service that makes it a great venue for celebrating special occasions in a fun and active way. However, it is also important for potential customers to consider the full picture. A contrasting review points to some potential challenges, particularly with very young children's classes, mentioning large class sizes and a lack of instructor engagement. This suggests that while the gym excels with its competitive and older age group programs, parents of toddlers and preschoolers may want to inquire about specific class sizes and teacher-to-student ratios to ensure the best fit for their child. Additionally, the feedback about the facility's organization and cleanliness, as well as billing and communication issues, should be taken into consideration. It is recommended that new families tour the facility, meet with staff, and ask detailed questions about enrollment and class structure. Despite these points, the gym's ability to develop high-level talent and foster a strong, family-like community remains a significant reason to choose it. For parents seeking a place where their children can truly thrive in the sport of gymnastics, Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics offers a well-established and highly regarded program. The value lies in the potential for significant growth, both in skill and in character, within a community that is deeply invested in the success of its members.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This gym is by far one the best places I could have taken my kids! We joined in June of 2019 and still going strong. The training is exceptional and you feel part of a family there. My youngest daughter was 6 when she started, and it was her first time ever competing. She started competing Xcel Silver and now training for level 7! It’s super exciting to see the growth right before your eyes! My now 11 year old had just finished competing level 4 when we moved to this gym and she was 8. She just finished competing level 9 and now training for level 10. We couldn’t be more happier! I definitely recommend this gym to anyone I meet looking for a great place for their child or children. We LOVE IT!!! ❤️
April 09 · Candice CaseyNorth Stars came as a recommendation to us, and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We signed up for a beginner toddler class over the summer and experienced very large classes with only 2 instructors most Saturday mornings. It’s hard for anyone to supervise that many kids. I thought it was just me feeling like our daughter wasn’t learning anything due to the lack of supervision, but I was validated when a family member attended a class and asked how our child was “invisible to the teacher”. Instructors were low energy and came across as bored and unenthused with the young kids.To top it off, when I asked how many weeks long the class we signed up for was, we were misinformed and then accused of not paying enough. Very unorganized enrollment status and billing. I’m offended that when I asked details about payment, I was dismissed. Just finished up a pretty unpleasant phone call which ended with them hanging up on me because I told them we were not interested in signing up for the next session. She was very much not interested in hearing our feedback either. They may be good with the older kids. They also need to clean and renovate the facility. The place smells like stinky wet sneakers!
September 17 · Alicia Kendig GlassOur 6 year-old did a trial class this past Saturday (3/3/18) and we were completed repulsed by the entire facility for several reasons: (1) The lady running the front desk was way too pushy. We told her up-front that we were just doing a 1-day trial of the beginner class, and she tried to get us to immediately enroll as monthly members. When I told her no, she said, "Ok, just tell me your final answer after today's trial is over." Again, no. I have every right to 'shop around' at different gyms until we find the right one... (2) Our daughter has minimal prior experience, which only includes cartwheels, handstands, front-facing rolls, etc. Well, her coach (a male) told them to do a backwards roll, which she has never done before. She told him she didn't know how to do it, so he just lifted her legs and rolled her over backwards ON HER NECK. She immediately started crying because it hurt (naturally), and he said just to shake it off and do some handstands instead. REALLY? You have a beginner telling you that she doesn't know how to do something and you're just going to toss her over without teaching proper technique??? I couldn't believe it. Not only did he not listen to my daughter's concerns, but he also could have severely injured her... (3) The gym smelled horrendous. I understand that gyms have a certain aroma from the equipment, the athletes being barefoot, etc., but this is the worst-smelling gym I have ever entered (and I grew up playing many different sports, so I've been in several over my lifetime)... So, if you value your child's health and safety, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS GYM.
March 05 · Kathryn OliverMy daughter joined Atlanta North Stars as on the Excel team 4 seasons ago, and is now currently training JO Level 9. Atlanta North Stars has highly qualified coaches that have moved her through the various levels and she has been very successful each competition season. In fact, all the competitive teams at the gym are highly ranked in the state! (Kudos to our great coaches!) Our competitive team gymnasts are like a sisterhood.....the girls all really enjoy being together and root each other on during meet season! If your child is a beginner and loves gymnastics, the recreational tumbling classes will offer her a lot of fun and if she desires to go the competitive team route there are various options from which to choose, and coaches that are knowledgeable and can guide you to the path that's best for your gymnast.
May 19 · Katherine SmithMy daughter 6, started here a few months ago against my better judgment. It is UN-kept, dirty, the bathrooms are never cleaned and disgusting. But the coach seemed OK. Well now my daughter has a new summer coach and she is nothing but MEAN to her and rude. She tried something new that scared her and the coach said she did a terrible job instead of encouragement! She pushed down so hard on her when she was doing a split she was sore fore 2 days! She was bullied by another girl in her SAME CLASS. Unexcuseable! Stay away
