This local establishment is more than just a place to exercise; it is a center for holistic wellness, specializing in building core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness through controlled and precise movements.
Apex Pilates has cultivated a reputation among North Carolina locals for its commitment to high-quality, individualized, and safe instruction. While the business is rooted primarily in the Classical Pilates method—a comprehensive system using specialized apparatus like the Reformer and Tower—it also embraces the principles of yoga and mindful movement. This holistic approach ensures that whether a client is recovering from an injury, an elite athlete, or a complete beginner, their experience is tailored to their specific needs. The studio’s experienced, top-notch instructors focus on the quality of movement over sheer quantity, utilizing verbal cues and hands-on guidance to deepen the mind-body connection, which is vital for long-term health and functional fitness.
The goal at Apex Pilates is to help clients redefine their body’s movement and unlock their full physical potential. Unlike large, impersonal gyms, this intimate studio atmosphere is focused on personalized attention, offering private sessions, duets, and small group classes. Clients consistently praise the instructors' professional knowledge and their ability to explain complex movements simply, often leading to immediate, positive results in areas like back pain and athletic performance. This focus on expertise and personalized guidance makes Apex Pilates a highly recommended resource for wellness in the North Carolina area.

Services Offered
Apex Pilates offers a comprehensive array of movement and training services designed to cater to diverse needs, from intensive one-on-one rehabilitation to invigorating group fitness:
- Private 1:1 Sessions: Highly personalized 50-minute (or 30-minute apprentice) training sessions utilizing the full range of Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Tower, Chair, etc.). These sessions are essential for new clients, those with injuries, or anyone looking to deepen their practice with a fully customized workout.
- Semi-Private Training (Duet/Trio/Quad): Small group sessions (2 to 4 clients) that provide personalized attention with the added motivation and camaraderie of a shared experience. This is ideal for friends, couples, or small groups with similar fitness goals.
- Pilates Equipment Group Classes: Small group classes on the apparatus (Reformer, Tower, Jumpboard) that build strength, flexibility, and coordination. The studio requires new clients to the equipment to complete an introductory private session for safety and proper foundation.
- Mat-Based Group Classes: Non-equipment classes that focus on core strength and alignment using body weight as resistance, including Mat Pilates, TRX (Total Resistance Exercise) suspension training, and CardioTone.
- CardioTone: A signature 40-minute fusion workout that combines cardio and resistance training to sculpt the body and target problem areas without high-impact movements.
- Online/On-Demand Classes: Digital access to top-notch instruction for Mat, Yoga, and TRX sessions, allowing clients to maintain consistency from the convenience of their North Carolina home or while traveling.
- Pilates Teacher Training: As a recognized center for Classical Pilates Education, the studio offers comprehensive apparatus and Mat certification programs for aspiring instructors.
- Workshops and Events: Hosting deep learning workshops with master trainers, offering advanced instruction and professional growth opportunities for the local movement community.

What is Worth Choosing
For North Carolina locals seeking a fitness solution that delivers real, measurable results beyond superficial workouts, Apex Pilates is a definitive choice. It is worth choosing for several crucial reasons that elevate it above typical gym or yoga studio offerings.
The primary factor is the caliber of instruction and the depth of the method. The glowing reviews—such as those praising instructor Jamie for equestrian-specific training, or Stacy for her knowledgeable work with a "bad back"—are testaments to the highly professional and personalized nature of the instruction. These are not general fitness trainers; they are highly certified professionals (NCPT, RYT-500) dedicated to the science of movement and alignment. This level of expertise ensures that clients are not just going through the motions but are actually correcting imbalances, building long-term functional strength, and maximizing their mind-body connection.
Furthermore, the blend of services—from private, personalized training on the Reformer apparatus to engaging, non-equipment group classes like TRX and Mat Pilates—provides a comprehensive path for any fitness goal. Clients can work one-on-one to address specific issues, then transition to more cost-effective small group classes to maintain their progress. The availability of online and on-demand content also demonstrates a commitment to flexibility, perfectly suiting the busy lives of North Carolina residents.
Unlike general fitness centers that offer a Pilates class, Apex Pilates is first and foremost a dedicated Pilates studio, meaning the equipment is state-of-the-art and the curriculum is authentically based on Joseph Pilates' foundational principles. This focused specialization, combined with an undeniable commitment to accessibility (wheelchair friendly facilities) and a welcoming, professional atmosphere, solidifies Apex Pilates as a top-tier movement studio. For anyone in Apex, Cary, or the surrounding Triangle area looking to safely achieve a stronger core, better balance, and improved overall well-being, Apex Pilates offers the professional guidance and dedicated environment to achieve those lasting physical transformations.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Training with Jamie has helped my equestrian riding get drastically better. Her classes strengthen and balance out the whole body and she does her research with what exercises work the specific areas I am weaker in. I had a winning round that is judged on your position and form at my show this past weekend and I have no doubt Jamie's workouts helped me achieve that goal!I Highly recommend Apex Pilates. The instructors are top notch.
September 01 · Mj HayesStacy is a true professional, very knowledgeable. She took the time to work with me (and my bad back) and explain everything in a way I would understand. I would definitely recommend, I got a good workout and my back feels amazing.
April 05 · Claudia AcevedoSwatti , Lisa Rebecca and all here are awesome. Just the highest quality PT u can get! Big thumbs up from my NP wife and I both. I would go there immediately. They keep me on the road for Pickleball every day, winning medals and competing in national championships in multiple sports!
May 07 · Roger GoreA friend recommended Jamie to me two years ago for back pain. I have gone weekly ever since. It has truly been one of the best things for my body. Jamie has been so helpful and patient, and always structures classes based on my needs. Most recently, I broke my shoulder blade and lost most of the mobility in the joint. I was going to physical therapy without a ton of improvement. I started Pilates again- not being sure if I would be able to do it, but Jamie went above and beyond making sure the classes were easing my shoulder back into it. The mobility in my arm has improved so much that I actually stopped going to physical therapy and decided to do Pilates twice a week.I highly recommend giving Apex Pilates a try, as my body has truly appreciated that I did!
May 22 · Chelsae KeyesWhen I started private Pilates sessions, my core muscles were very weak which was affecting my ability to play various double reed instruments. Missy took the time to understand my fitness level, preferences, and the specific areas I wanted to focus on. She has tailored gentle stretches, controlled movements, and targeted exercises, my muscles gradually became more pliable and stronger, allowing me to perform everyday activities and playing my double reed instruments with greater ease. Missy gives clear instructions and gentle adjustments to ensure proper form and maximize the benefits of each stretch. Each session concludes with a series of stretches that targets every major muscle group, promoting flexibility, and preventing injuries.I highly recommend giving Apex Pilates a try. You won't be disappointed!
