★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was asked to leave a review, and I don't mind at all, but any review I make is going to be as much non-bias as possible. I wasn't paid for this review either. Not that I think this location offers that so you can probably trust most of these reviews to a greater extent than say Amazon reviews which are bought & paid for.My previous regular Anytime location closed on little to no notice for most of it's members (off 23 mile and Gratiot). For my Fiancé and I we happened to notice a sign on the door the night prior, and I happened to find the fine print saying transfer in X days or your membership is terminated... We normally go late at night since we work the night shift so I can't comment on general day traffic for either location. It's usually no more than 3-5 people around midnight though on any given day at both locations.Anyways we moved to the new Baltimore location. The manager Tracy worked with us on the transfer process. She maintained our existing payment structure, and I only have good things to say about her. She's been very friendly the 3 or 4 times We've interacted with her. Communication has been great as well. I don't think I've had to leave a message once and I've called at least 2 or 3 times so far. As a newer member at this gym I really can't comment on overall cleanliness, but I can say that I've personally saw the manager emptying out the bins, and cleaning on at least two separate occasions. Compared to our old location where they didn't even have the decency to refill the wipes the last two weeks before they closed (without telling anyone) this location is MUCH nicer. It's more spacious, the bathrooms are noticeably better and have basic amenities (single occupancy), and the couple of times I've saw equipment down it was repaired fairly quickly, and it has a good number machines than our old gym. That being said the pads are worn on at least once of the machines that I can recall, and I've saw the weighted balls deflated at lease a few times.I do have 1 minor gripe. One of the machines that I previously used regularly is missing (T-bar Machine), two smaller pieces of general equipment aren't stocked (leg rollers, and 5lb cable weights). Also the mats are small and thin. My feet literally hang off of them when I'm doing mat exercises making them more complicated. I mentioned these to Tracy when we first migrated our membership over, but wasn't expecting them to be purchased. So far nothing, but that's how these things go. Each gym is slightly different. The primary reason I knocked as star off is for when I asked Tracy (who then asked Adam? / a trainer) about how to add 5lb weights to the cable machine without a 5lb cable weight since the blocks only come in 10 and are fixed to the machine. Adam instructed me to use a 5lb barbell weight, and to just protrude the cable pin through it as well. This does add 5lbs to the cable weights, but the pin doesn't sit flush to the weights, in fact it's angled and every rep you do further loosens the pin. Now take the scenario to the assisted pullup machine. No safe at all in my opinion. Furthermore 1 or 2 of the pins are partially broken on the cable machines. I can't say for sure the cause, but I sure can conjecture. Ultimately I invested in my own cable weight, but it's not compatible with a few of their cable machines that have reinforced bars (preventing the add-on weight from sliding around the top of the cable weight attachmentYou can edit the music shuffle using Rockbot app*************************************************************I purchased a set of active heart monitors. I set them up the rest of the way when I got home and they worked right off the bat today. They work great & I don't have to worry about checking my heart rate 24/7 (I have low blood pressure, and breathing issues) & I can compete against my Fiancé, but I doubt I'll ever win lol. I've only once saw a single empty wipe container. Most of the setup was done for me on the device by Tracy, and it was ready to pickup in a timely manner. A+
July 02 · Yuki HillDecent little gym. Kept pretty clean in terms of the restrooms. Never see anyone actually cleaning off equipment and members are not held accountable if they leave a mess of sweat or weights left all over. After hours the absolute worst. Tons of young kids come in on one card and just destroy the place and nothing is ever done about it. It's actually very frustrating that staff doesn't manage the floor at all that's why I give it 2 stars. I'm not paying to clean up others messes. In response to those bashing Adam, they are wrong. He is always positive and professional. He is high energy and bounces around to equipment with his clients, yes sometimes to what you are on. But if he sees you nearby he will always ask me if I'm using it or if he starts setting up I'll tell him I'm on it and he always goes to find other equipment. I have never seen him steal equipment or treat any member poorly.
February 05 · Kevin BorrellI'm a new member to this location, but not to Anytime Fitness. The woman who signed me up was very nice and helpful. The location is small and less busy than some other gyms in the area; which I prefer. As far as gyms go, I'm happy with the location and price.
February 05 · Jamie LThis gym is so dirty. I’m not trying to be rude but I have never seen them dust this place. And it smells so humid and musty not sweat but like there’s water somewhere. They seriously need to clean every single day. I go to the algonac one because it’s so clean. They clean every shift. Every time I walk into new Baltimore gym the manager is just sitting at the desk. Clean something!!! There’s hair and dust EVERYWHERE
