All-Stars Gymnastics & Cheer Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For families in the greater Louisville, Kentucky area looking for top-tier instruction in gymnastics, cheerleading, and tumbling, All-Stars Gymnastics & Cheer has been a foundational part of the local sports community for years. Located conveniently on Fern Valley Road, this dedicated gymnastics center provides a comprehensive range of programs designed to serve all ages and ability levels, from the youngest beginners taking their first forward roll to advanced athletes competing at high levels.
The center’s mission is clear: to offer gymnastics instruction in a safe and fun-filled environment where students can learn at their own pace. This facility is particularly well-known for its dual focus on both gymnastics and cheer, allowing local youth to choose their preferred path or combine both disciplines. It’s a place where hard work, determination, and the formative lessons of organized sport are instilled, creating lasting memories and building self-confidence, a sentiment echoed by former athletes who fondly recall their experience and the impactful coaching they received.
A significant highlight and pillar of the program is its leadership, prominently featuring Coach Rick Adams, a former USA Team Member and inductee into the Kentucky Gymnastics Hall of Fame. This deep-rooted experience and commitment to the sport add a layer of prestige and trust that local parents highly value when choosing an athletic home for their children. The facility provides a space where both recreational fun and serious competition are fostered, serving as a hub for both aspiring Olympians and those simply looking for a healthy, structured after-school activity.
Location and Accessibility
All-Stars Gymnastics & Cheer is situated in a highly accessible area of Louisville, making drop-offs and pick-ups convenient for parents traveling from various parts of Jefferson County and beyond.
The center's location is: 5800 Fern Valley Rd Suite 122, Louisville, KY 40228, USA.
The facility resides within a commercial area that offers easy access from major roads, a crucial factor for busy local families.
In terms of access for all community members, the facility does provide specific provisions:
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot: Ensuring ease of access upon arrival.
While the facility focuses primarily on scheduled, instructed classes, they also provide opportunities for additional practice. Open Gym sessions are generally scheduled once a week on Saturdays, allowing members a supervised environment to work on skills learned during the week or just enjoy free play. This flexibility helps students integrate fitness and practice into their already busy schedules.
It is important for prospective members to know that enrollment requires a membership, and while the gym is highly praised for its programs and coaching legacy, some reviews from the community have noted that the facility itself, including the mats and flooring, may be in need of an aesthetic upgrade, a factor that might be worth considering alongside the high quality of the instruction itself.

What is Worth Choosing All-Stars Gymnastics & Cheer
For Louisville and surrounding Kentucky families, All-Stars Gymnastics & Cheer represents a compelling choice because it successfully balances elite-level expertise with community accessibility. The most valuable asset is the deep-seated experience, exemplified by the involvement of a Kentucky Gymnastics Hall of Fame inductee. This heritage provides parents with confidence in the quality of instruction their children receive, ensuring they learn the correct, safe techniques required to excel.
Furthermore, the sheer breadth of the curriculum—from basic tumbling and Kindergym to fully fledged Competitive Programs in both cheer and gymnastics—means a child can grow within the facility from their first roll to their most complex competitive routine. This continuity of instruction, coupled with the noted competitive pricing, allows children to pursue their athletic passions without the constant pressure of finding new facilities as their skills advance, or the prohibitive costs often associated with elite sports.
While a few community members have raised concerns about the appearance and cleanliness of the facility's interior, the overwhelmingly positive testimonials about the quality of the coaching, the formative life lessons learned, and the individual attention (like placing a talented 6-year-old with an older group for greater challenge) strongly suggest that the core value lies in the human element—the instructors and the programs they run. For a dedicated young athlete in Kentucky, choosing All-Stars Gymnastics & Cheer means choosing an environment rich in history, high in quality coaching, and dedicated to building not just good athletes, but confident, determined individuals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1In spirit of the Olympics I felt compelled to find my old gym bag, and so glad I did! WOW. 2003 feels like so long ago, yet like it was yesterday at the same time. To know coach Rick is still there is wild! I’d love to practice again, but I am now 33 and snap crack and pop. I loved this place and I’ll never forget the lessons, hard work, determination and formative way it molded me as a child. Wish I would have kept with it, but it got too expensive. I’ll cherish the memories. I was a good damn gymnast! 🤸 💖 cool to know they’re still around. ⭐️
July 29 · Maranda SmithMy granddaughter loves this place and her instructors; in fact, although she is 6.5 yrs old, she was placed with the 10 yr. olds—what an opportunity for her! I gave the review only 4 stars as the place is dirty; unkempt; and, usage of old dirty mats and dirty rug floors.Surely you could afford an upgrade?????
May 17 · Vicki BusickMy daughter loved it! She is so happy to be here
July 29 · Candace JacksonMy daughter recently started taking classes at this facility and we are extremely happy. She is having a great time and is learning a lot! We love the the structure of the class and also the encouragement when she has accomplished a task. Her first class was a “try it out class” which we greatly appreciated. We spent a lot more money at a different gym and were very unhappy, we were never given this opportunity to try it out at the other gym. The teachers have been great and are very knowledgeable about the sport! We are extremely happy with All Stars!
August 15 · Kasie HooverThis place is great! I have 2 girls who have been going here for years and they love it. They don't just learn gymnastics skills, they have fun too. The coaches are great, knowledgeable and good with kids. Coach Rick has been teaching gymnastics for many years and he knows how to teach kids. He makes it fun and at the same time makes sure they are learning the correct way to perform their skills. If your kids want to learn gymnastics or just want to become more coordinated and graceful, I recommend All-Stars Gymnastics
