At the beginning of every lesson, Abby asks how I am feeling, assesses my movement and tailors her teaching plan accordingly -- some days we do an extremely challenging full body workout, other days we focus on specific issues such as tight shoulders, balance or back pain. She always pays close attention to what I am doing, provides clear instructions/corrections and fully explains any new exercise (including why she thinks it will be good for me). I have been taking Pilates lessons for over 20 years and studying with Abby for over 5 years -- she is truly one of the best.

I found her 2 months before my wedding, and she helped me grow a little taller and have more definition in my arms for my dress. My experience with this studio and with Abby herself has been nothing but great and I’ve been with Abby Stowe Pilates for going on 8 years. As a sole proprietor this is very important to me. Any client I bring in is impressed with how great the space looks, the breadth of equipment that is available and the friendly, no drama environment. As a renter this is one of the best environments I’ve ever worked with. I have had previous experiences at other rental studios where this was not the case, and it negatively impacted my business. But at Abby’s studio everything is easy and well done. You can see how Abby really puts care into her studio. I really appreciate how Abby is very responsive to my needs and any needs I have for my clients ( this place was top notch during the pandemic), how well the equipment is cared for ( very important to me as a pilates instructor) and how easy it is to book space ( very important to me as business owner). This has been exactly what I need as a renter who is a Private Pilates Instructor and a Trainer working to grow my business in NYC. I’d book now before it fills up.
